Natsu & Laxus Limited Soul Manipulation

The other thread was closed so we can only continue from this new one.

When acnologia took control over the ravines of time, his spirit/soul was left behind while his physical body left the ravines of time and went to the real world to cause absolute destruction.

In the ravines of times, natsu and the other 7 dragons fought acnologia's spirit/soul form, in which both natsu and laxus were able to hit acnologia spirit/soul form. Although laxus was able to hit acnologia, he couldn't do any real damage to him because of his magic resistence, but we can still see that acnologia was hit by laxus even tho he was only in a spirit/soul form. here is a link to the chapter where laxus hit acnologia, and you can see the lightning around acnologia face telling us that he was indeed hit by laxus.

We can see this also in natsu vs zeref finale fight in which zeref stated that natsu was setting his own soul on fire, not only was he burning zeref magic, but he was also setting his own soul on fire.

So i believe we should give natsu a limited soul manipulation for being able to attack and hit acnologia spirit/soul form and for being able to set his own soul on fire to get a boost in his magical ability.

I also think we should give laxus a limited soul manipulation for being able to hit acnologia spirit/soul form, althought he couldn't do any damage. But that was because of acnologia own magical resistene and him being many times stronger then laxus. But at the end of the day, laxus was still able to hit acnologia who was nothing but a spirit/soul.

I will say that the other 5 dragon slayers beside natsu and laxus should also get a limited soul manipulation because of the fact that they were able to fight against acnologia, if they were given the chance to get close to acnologia like laxus did, i'm sure they would also be able to land a hit on him.
 
Lets use this thread to talk about natsu and laxus limited soul manipulation and also natsu's death magic resistence.

the previous thread was sadly closed down, so we have to make a new one for for this topic.
 
I still stands on my point in the previous thread about only Natsu who should get the ability.

Also, I need to recheck something in Oracion Seis arc, give me hours and maybe Natsu will get a new resistance.

But why should only natsu get limited soul manipulation when laxus also has a actual feat for limted soul manipulation. He was able to hit acnologia, someone who was nothing but pure spirit/soul in ravines of time.

What real argument do you have against something this obvious, we can clearly see laxus hitting acnologia in this scan.
 
It doesn't matter if they were in the RoT or not. They get teleported there with their bodies.

But I'm unsure if Laxus takes it as well. There's a good chance that Acno made himself tangible on purpose to defeat them faster. Natsu's good, though.

Btw, Natsu should have resistance to soul absorption from his fight from Franhalt (the guy with Hades' soul), and timestop (at least in END form).
 
So because it takes place in a dimension, it doesn't count? The only special properties it had were not having any time or space before Acno ate it. That wouldn't give Laxus the ability to hit souls.

Fair enough. I think there was an instance the other DS can hit non-corporeal, don't I think it was Gajeel when he fought possessed Rogue.
 
I honestly disagree with this. Since Acno's body and soul split, it was pretty obvious that one can interact with Acno's soul, so it's not limited soul manipulation.
 
Natsu should get, Limited Soul Manipulation, for Damaging both Zeref and Acnologia's soul, Resistance to Soul Absorbtion, he resisted Franmalths absorbtion, Resistance to Death Manipulation, because he reaisted Zeref's Death Magic, and Regen Negation, because he stopped zeref from healing after there fight, and even he was saying this has never happened before, Laxus gets Nothing
 
About the death resistance, that's just Power null. Natsu was never hit by that, just nulled it via flames. Maybe when the scarf absorbed it, but I think that's PN or Power Absorption and not resistance.
 
I think we should add resistance to absorbtion to Natsu, considering that Zeref can absorbe magic and not just life force.

Edit: just realized Zeref didn't even have energy absorbtion in his porfile
 
Natsu has shown the ability to resist soul absorbtion because of the fight with this guy, he has shown the ability to be able to fight pure souls like acnologia and even destroy them. His flames has shown the ability to effect souls, specially natsu own soul was being burned as stated by zeref.

Also laxus has shown for himself that he is able to hit souls, like in his fight with acnologia in the ravines of time. He was able to land a hit on acnologia, but because acnologia was much stronger then him it did not do any damage on him. But the fact that laxus was able to land a solid hit on acnologia, will give him his limited soul manipulation.

There is no where stating that the ravines is a special place that lets you be able to hit a non corporeal being, unless you have somewhere stating that it does. Then we can only take it as something that they did with their own ability, there is no reason to reject this when their is obvious feats for it.

So like i have said many times, natsu and laxus should get a limited soul manipulation. It's something they did with their own ability, it has nothing to do with the ravines of time unless it was stated otherwise.
 
It's interesting how Franmalth has a page on here but Natsu doesn't have resistance to soul manipulation. I wonder how that happened.
 
Yeah, he should have had resistance to soul manipultion from a long ago. idk how that was skipped, also franmalth seem one haxed guy.
 
I guess its natsu, laxus and gajeel who have solid feat of hitting a spirit/soul. the other 4 dragon slayers are "maybe" at this point. Only natsu, laxus and gajeel has shown actual feats of hitting someone who is pure spitit/soul like acnologia.
 
Natsu, For Sure, should get resistance to Soul Manipulation, and Limited Soul Manipulation, he has affected souls on many occasions and resisted soul manip, as well as Death Manipulation, because for Sure Zeref used his death magic, and he just wasn't killed

I'm still not convinced for the Dragon Slayers, assuming they can hit Acnologia is not really a strong case, plus when they hit Acnologia it did no Damage, so the fact they didn't do any damage to him at all, really makes me doubt they should have Soul Manipulation

I'm Neutral on the Dragon Slayers having it

It has nothing to do with whether you can damage him, acnologia is way stronger for them to be able to damage him. But it's has something to do with the fact that they're able to hit him, and natsu, laxus and gajeel has shown to be able to hit him. This is the absolute proof for their limited soul manipulation, and it has nothing to do with the ravines of time at all.
 
 
Okay, so soul manip for Natsu and non corporeal for the other dragon slayers. What about soul manip for Gray since Silver could do it with Ice Devil Slayer and he gave it to Gray?
