So what? The amount of time prior to the Rasenshuriken actually exploding was like a split-second. Not enough time to say that the tree was completely unaffected by the lava release.

No, it isn't. Someone that can handle molten metal with his bare hands might have resistance to heat but they aren't resisting the metal. A character that can walk through superheated water without issue doesn't resist water nor does one who can survive in the sun resist plasma somehow. Heat is what's assailing them, they aren't resisting some effect of the source beyond that point.

I was responding to your Amaterasu comment so not sure why this even matters. Even in this case, he's tanking a hit from it. At best one could argue for him resisting heat but it having fire nature doesn't change or counter anything I said.
