Assaltwaffle used a cut video to calculate All Might's thunderstorm feat, the video he used skipped about 13 seconds.

So I'm creating this thread to discuss which timeframe we should use to decide All Might's ap. This is the original video of the feat.

Timeframe 1

The time it takes for the clear horizon line shot to leave (0:20) to the time it takes for the clouds to be shown above (0:42.82). Timeframe: 22.82 seconds.

Time: 22.82 seconds.

Speed: 102.98 meters per second.

KE: 0.5*(9.0488x10^11)*102.98^2 = 4.798x10^15 joules.

Weakened All Might: 4.798x10^15 joules, or 1.147 Megatons of TNT, Low 7-B, Small City level

Prime All Might: 2.879x10^17 joules, or 68.806 Megatons of TNT, 7-B, City level+

Timeframe 2

The time it takes for the clear horizon line shot to leave (0:33) to the time it takes for the rain to start (0:46). Timeframe: 13 seconds

Time: 13 seconds.

Speed: 180.77 meters per second.

KE: 0.5*(9.0488x10^11)*180.77^2 = 14784740619676000 joules.

Weakened All Might: 14784740619676000 joules, or 3.5336 Megatons of TNT, Low 7-B, Small City level

Prime All Might: 887084437180560000 joules, or 212.016 Megatons of TNT, 7-A, Mountain level

I think the second timeframe makes more sense.

I am actually OK with Timeframe 2 now. Timeframe 1 was originally taken because the jumpcut was so jarring. Now we actually see the sky start to darken and the rain begin. Timeframe 2 should work, IMO.

Well, rematch them as needed, then. I personally think it would still be valid, but do whatchu gotta do!

Since this is done I'll close this.
