My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

What are you talking about? What is Lifting Strength?

Izuku is upscaling from Monoma, says so on his profile. He's somewhere in between, we say 2.7 Tons in verse threads to be safe. Since he's inferior to 5% which is 5.13 Tons. Guess what, that is still <5.13 Tons. Anything under 5.13 Tons falls under that < thing.

He's downscaling from 5% and upscaling from Monoma. An unknown amount higher than 2.7 Tons, and without a doubt inferior to 5.13 Tons.
More for upscaling purposes. It feels odd to treat the base Deku who is Able to handle a 7-A percentage of OFA the same as U.A beginnings Deku who nearly implodes when activating his 7-A power
(people say stopping trains is an LS feat, I have no idea if stop it from someone being tosses into the side of it is LS or not (because I dint know if the train stopped from the Nomu grabbing it to climb in or from the pro being launched into it, more inclined to the latter), so I’m asking you).
Also the average human head is about 23.9 cm‘s right?

And what exactly do you want us to do? He's stronger, that is it. Unless you actually have something to bring up to make him multiple times stronger?

I mean, is there some feat we're missing?

He's also stupidly 8-B in durability for some reason.

The Nomu didn't stop the train... it was still moving when Gran Torino pushed it off. They were in the middle of making a emergency stop, but the train didn't stop till afterwards.

Human height averages around 1.75 m. We're usually 7.5X heads tall, 1.75 divided by 7.5 is 0.23 or 23 cm. So yeah 23 cm is basically the average human head height.

I just find that funny.
But what I mean is that it’s kinda weird that despite how many times his durability keeps going up but his AP doesn’t change other than “oh yeah it’s higher than before” <5.13 but >2.7 with no specific value in between is Like, moderately better because at the very least we can say (with VH as an example) “yeah his AP isn’t over 4 times weaker than his durability, just barely over 2”

1. Ok, me stupid.
2. Thank you.

@TheRustyOne Mocha and Johnny could have has super regeneration for all we know but they couldn’t regenerate because nearly their entire body is their head

From what we know, only the Black Upper-Tier and High-End Nomu have Super Regeneration. None of the lower ranking Nomu had Super Regen. I highly doubt any Nomu besides the ones I mention have Super Regeneration.

Yeah I know but it’ a fun thought.
Should Nomu’s have resistance to pain manipulation and mind manipulation (second one low tiers only) because they don’t feel pain and don’t have any thoughts.
also what would I call Mocha acting on his own to save Garaki despite not getting any orders from Garaki (place holder is super will).
Should twice have limited power mimicry with double because he can also clone quirks with it? (Just my stupid thought)

He can create clones of other people who have Quirks but he can't control the clones or the Quirks themselves, so I don't think he should.

Ok
also would having two noses be enhanced senses or just being double weak to wario’s neutral B-

and also these things because I trust you more than myself to make a good call on this.

We don't know if he slammed it through the building or if the Nomu did that during its rampage.

Also Gran Torino was holding back, and proceeded to knock it out in a single hit. He does say he went all out, and it wasn't dead just unconscious. That is why I said it'd scale to High 8-C. Since Gran Torino can hurt 5% Izuku while holding back too. And Tier 9 would be way too low, he'd rip straight through it.
On this, do we say that the Nomu caught up to the bullet train or at least was running at a comparable speed (because even during the forced stop it could get itself inside of the train, which you pointed out was still moving), or not

We don't know what was happening.

For all we know they were fighting on the track itself, and the Nomu caught on the train. The second the hero flew through the wall, I'm certain the Nomu was already holding onto the train. We have no idea on anything.

Where is it stated that they don't feel any pain?

I read the quote wrong, just forgot to edit it.
But what about the mind manipulation Part?

That is way beyond me. I'm getting a headache thinking about it.

I'll say no because I don't want them to have it. Truly the best way to form an answer.

@Mazdoesstuff: I think asking Staff would be more beneficial, since I've never heard of such a thing and have no idea what to say.

dude that’s just a ******* power play
So last thing on the checklist is what do we call Mocha defy orders choosing to go rescue Garaki (well, in this case not having any orders, so his order is to just standby and do nothing) which is something that should have been impossible for the Nomu’s to do
I can add it as possibly

That may be proof they aren't 100% mindless? I don't think its any kind of ability or something. Just maybe it understood Garaki was in trouble and since they're made to obey certain people and decided it had to protect him? I honestly have no idea, and I doubt will get any clarity on it either.

IDK.

Yeah, I thought maybe it was supernatural will because he defied orders and rules hard coded into his brain but that makes sense

The Nomu? Personally I don't see how they aren't High 8-C, since even the low tier Nomu can take hits from a restrained Gran Torino. Who is capable of hurting 5% Izuku. And they also overpower the average Pro Hero. To me the idea that any physical fighting Pro Hero is weaker than Shinso or less durable than Mineta is... yeah.

But I know people are very skittish about this type of scaling. So I believe we could only rate them as Unknown.

But even the Low Tier Nomu are capable of this level of destruction.
I personally don't see anything wrong with scaling the Nomus to at least a casual Gran Torino or 5% Deku though Torino is 8-B and did one-shot one of them.
Is Torino's current AP deemed to be outdated? There doesn't seem to be anything indicating an 8-B ratings for him aside from upscaling from High 8-C characters or some unquantifiable Kamino stuff.
EDIT:
From the looks of it, we consider Kamino AFO and AM 7-A but we're scaling Torino from the result of a 7-A attack that yields 8-B results? Kinda weird but okay I guess.

Gran Torino is currently scaling to a 8-B calc. It's on his profile.

Since he caught and stopped All Might, who was launched by AFO's Air Cannon which caused 8-B level of damage the last time he launched him.

Gran Torino's profile is outdated. Most seem to agree he should downscale from that All Might level. He took a direct punch from All Might to the face (Meant for AFO), and he took a hit from Shigaraki as well. Shigaraki did punched through him later, and that's why we're downscaling him. Also he survived being hit by AFO's Rivet Stab.

He deflected Shigaraki's arm and was going to punch him, but that by itself probably isn't enough to scale with his AP. Though if we take him catching All Might from AFO's attack as a feat, that could be something. Well at least his durability should be around that level, lower of course.

Downscaling him to an extent makes more sense in this case although I am not really sure by how much is Torino supposed to downscale considering his feats.
He jumps up several tiers from casual to serious if we do that, which is funny because a lot of us have aired our grievances with Bakugo doing the same.
In any case I'm agreeable with low tier Nomus scaling to 5% to an extent if we ever make profiles for them again.

I’m making a profile for Mocha Right now (the Nomu with the double quirk that Miruko ******* one shot) I’m also gonna make one for Johnny, but I’m shit with abilities so I’d need suggestions on what to give them

Mocha or Johnny have zero stats, they wouldn't have any reason to scale to the other Nomu. They're different from the other Nomu and aren't even made for combat. They're just a head on feet, they have zero combat abilities. They have no reason to get profiles.

Nana has more reason to get a profile, yet she isn't getting one without more information. Since she'd just be Unknown in every stat.

If anything Woman and the other High-Ends deserve a profile more than Mocha and Johnny. Heck we have characters who get their rating from scaling to them.

Wonder if we could make a Nomu page, that covers the Nomu in general. Not including any of the named Nomu.

1. Mocha does actually have a “fight” during the series. He does manage to through Mirko away from killing Garaki, so he has a strength & speed feat (Also He’s the reason that we’d put Nomu at higher than animalistic, given that self sacrifice requires complex emotional thought, so even if he’s just unknown he has a full list of abilities a known quirk and a strength feat)
2. Yeah, all the high ends deserve a page as well as the Nomu “species”

That isn't a strength feat in the slightest. At this point why don't we have a key for current Quirkless All Might? The current version of All Might has far better reason to have a profile. Heck he can actually hurt Base Izuku with a punch and scared away two villains from attacking him.

Which is more than what Garaki or those two Nomu have. Also All Might can withstand 100% of OFA without hurting himself, so his body has to be stronger than Izuku's.

Might make a sandbox for the Nomu in general.

You uh, you do realize I have said we could give Quirkless All Might his own key, I’m not at all against that.
but also I’d say intercepting and attack from a 7-A character and throwing a 7-A character off balance despite Nomu’s of the same tier not even being a threat to mid level heroes and being blitzed by a serious Gran Torino who has similarish speed to Mirko is a decent feat
but also yeah Nomu in general is probably good

The Doctor is basically baseline normal human, in fact he's probably less.

But yeah, Mirko is clearly going to hit him with her max strength and jumped at him with her full speed. Clearly Doctor Garaki is on par with All Might level characters.

Moving someone in the air is meaningless. Case in point, Mirio moving multiple High-Ends in the air. Your attack just needs to... well move them. Don't even need to overpower their weight, unless they were in mid fall and the attack moved them upwards.

? I’m saying that Mocha isn’t completely useless.
Garaki I agree is absolutely useless but we can see that the attack misses him despite being right at his arm, a speed feat for the tiny nomu, not the near useless combat wise doctor

It isn't a speed feat either. Since she was moving at speed slow enough that the doctor could react to her. All he did was panic, but she didn't blitz him.

For obvious reason she was only going to break his arm to see if he was real. Has no strength either. There is nothing here worthy of a profile of itself.

The Doctor should be more combat ready than the Nomu who is just a head with legs. Since he's bigger and has more mass. But that isn't saying very much.

Fine.
Anyways you want all nomu showings? Aka all the chapters they show up in (can’t spell the other word)
