2 OPM redditors are trying to explain to me how Bakuzan solo’s the verse yet absolutely refuse to show me Bakuzan pulling off an All Might tier feat. Siiigh, never change, Reddit. Or, well, please do.
 
In Vigilantes, there was a moment where some characters were talking about what it would be like if All Might turned evil and did what he wanted, and there was a shot of All Might in the background looking pretty evil. Does anyone know what chapter that was?
 
1- its just quirk activation speed, not combat or reactions imo
2- she got hit by hit before using her quirk to touch it .
3- tomura dont count since he just reflected them after being hit .
4- aang >>> deku

1) her quirk works off her reactions and she applied the rule to the laser. So she scales to the lasers speed
2) she caught the laser before it went it’s full distance, aka caught it mid flight. Her being hit by it is irrelevant, since she need to touch it to put rules on it in the first place
3) yes
4) Deku one shots Aang unless there’s some Avatar CRT that’s supposed to be going on rn
 
DID she apply it to the laser or herself? She said “I can hold lasers” not “this laser can be held by me”. Prove she caught it “before it went it’s full distance”.

She says “laser” in the panel before she says that she can hold them. So she applied the rule to the laser, otherwise she would have said her own name. Also she caught it before it went the full distance because it bends and has a tail, like it’s made of rubber. If it was fully absorbed or had gone past her, she wouldn’t even be holding it because it would just be gone.

She didn’t say laser. Thats a sound effect bubble. It also doesn’t have the American flag style bubble behind it, which always appears when she says the name and the rule. Light doesn’t bend like that, and it’s bending because she’s being PUSHED into it because her jet is still flying forward. You assume Shigaraki didn’t fire the laser for more than a second.

That’s a discussion that requires the officials then, because again, these are garbage fan scans. So we’ll see what that “laser” really is tomorrow. Also it doesn’t mean much because ultimately, she applied a rule and grabbed the laser before it was done reaching its full distance.

Light also can’t be held. It’s reacting to the fact that it is being held unnaturally because it being held is unnatural. You can’t try and apply normal light rules to a laser after it is being reality warped to follow rules that lasers should not follow.

Why is it being assumed he shot it for any amount of time longer than the jets fired their lasers? Do you have a reason for assuming it was continuous in anyway? The manga panels frame the laser attacks to be near instantaneous. Her mask hadn’t even fully left her face from being destroyed when it cuts to her holding the laser, so the sequence of events was incredibly fast.
 
Shigaraki “held” the light inside him for a few moments before reflecting it, shown right before he fired it back. Star even sees this and warns the jets that he’s about to return fire. Not only can this be seen as aim dodging, it also shows that Shigaraki can manipulate the light well enough to sustain it. If he couldn’t, it should’ve instantly disappeared when inside his belly. Nevermind the fact we visibly see the laser hit Star, “splash” against her AND damage her mask, showing she didn’t have time to dodge and the laser has mass, and that she touched it as it’s hitting her, since it’s sustained. And also the fact these lasers have mass as shown earlier.
 
The ”light” laser was aim dodged— aim reacted?— the same way the jets aim dodged the radio waves. They saw Shigaraki charge up and dodged out of the way before he fired. In the same fashion, Star saw Shigaraki charge up the laser, and acted before he fired. She literally comments on this.
 
He couldn’t keep up with a regular 100% Deku with his limbs, and couldn’t handle
Star, who’s ”incomparable to All Might”
so, no.

Nope, they are stated to be lightning and definitely meets those standards as vs wiki allows it.
In the scan he easily reacts to it and the arrows move with enough velocity to break his ice wall which can take the force of other benders aka multi city block.

They are lightning timers...its just the lightning being shot by the characters is under mach 1 to where normal humans can track it
