Multiversal Mario/Luigi?

This isn't necessarily an upgrade of sorts as much a question. If Mario and Luigi defeated Dreamy Bowser, who is multi-universe level in attack potency, why exactly are they not considered multi-universe level as well?

I'm pretty sure it's considered an outlier here.

Plus scaling like this usually comes from damaging somebody who has that level of durability.

No, AFAIK they were boosted in that fight.

It was only a boost for one attack which he didn't require to damage him, but it's a major outlier for several reasons.

I think it's because Mario is already very inconsistent. At one point his best feats come from destroying blocks, the next he's taking on planet busters.

However, I'm not very sharp on Mario lore.

That does make some sense. Though, the one thing I'm most confused about is the boost as stated by Saikou and Cropfist. When were Mario and Luigi boosted to fight Dreamy Bowser? I don't ever recall that happening in the game.

Neither of the bros were boosted. Dreambert simply healed them. Regardless, we can't upgrade them since it's the only game I believe they have this feat making it an outlier. Not to mention it would be a double standard to upgrade them yet characters who also achieved similar feats aren't.
