Mr. Incredible downgrade but for real this time

The calc seems to be assuming that it's free falling, which is weird since it's on that plane thingy with wings.

To me it pretty clearly slows the descent, like a paper plane of sorts. That last shot also doesn't look like free falling.

That’s fine. There’s another scene where it free falls a few meters. It’s when Bob knocks it off the building. So using PE for that might be better.

Actually, no, wait.

9 storeys is 38.7 meters since 4.3 times 9 is 38.7.

9.81 * 38.7 * 1045695.192= 396,995,041.79793 J or 0.0949 tons of TNT (Small Building level)

Well this sucks.

Oh that means Soldier 76 vs Mr. Incredible is fair. Woo-hoo!

How are you getting the High 8-C value when I'm just getting 8-C with the new updated value?

9.81 * 4,110,939.5742 * 38.7= 1.56070587653e+9 J or 0.3730176569144359 tons of TNT (Building level)
It's 9.81^2 not just 9.81. Anyway it got accepted to can I apply the changes?

Oh hang on I didn't see that. No it's just 9.81. m/s^2 is just the metric used, you don't really square the value.

What Kieran said, the m/s^2 is just a unit, you wouldn't actually square the value itself.

Either way, guess Cap vs Incredible is back on track.

No, the value is 9.81. The unit is m/s^2. The squared does not affect the value since the acceleration is 9.81 metres per second per second. Meaning that every second, an object falling gets 9.81m/s faster.

Those missiles look nowhere near High 8-C, you could say they destroyed the jet but I believe that High 8-C value is for actual commercial jets, which are much larger than the private one Helen used. Plus the inverse square law would mean she wouldn't take the full blast. She should definitely be downgraded.

Pretty much, only way they could have scaled is if the missiles were right in front of her face (Or less than 23 cm away from her if you wanna get technical, yes, this does account for cross-sectional area), which is definitely not the case in her situation, as in the actual scene she is well far away from the sides of the plane where the missiles actually hit and then exploded.

One feat I do recall is during Edna Mode's walkthrough of the suits. One of the suits tank direct Missile blasts too. iirc it was Helens but I believe Edna was making the point that all of the suits were similar in that manor. I'll see if I can get the clip.

Edit: Clip Here. There's some stuff mentioned on here that are missing from all of the families Profiles. Such as Jack Jacks suit being completely bulletproof.

Jack Jack himself also have several feats missing from him, such as him casually breaking through walls in his giant form (clip is not in a high quality but this is the only one I could find for it)

True, Edna did indeed say that all the suits were similar.

I mean, the suits don't fully absorb energy since we see the characters still get hurt, nevermind that their faces are still exposed, so they likely couldn't survive a missile anyway (unless they have dura feats above that level obv)

Not if it’s Mr. Incredible himself

We could have "X normally, up to Y with suit" or something along those lines. It feels weird to me to leave out the suits durability when the movie made such a point of them.

Eh, in the end just cause the suit survives the damage doesn't mean the ones inside it don't suffer it at all, after all if you get shot with a bulletproof vest IRL you still get hurt by the KE of the bullet.
