Or it's a very badly done posterThis looks fan made. Much less likeable than the first poster.
And that's why I know Arishem will judge us guilty...I don't know why incel YouTubers say that Shang-Chi and Eternals were meant to pander to China. Simu Liu and Awkwafina are vocal about their parents' and grandparents' experiences under communist China, which were not happy at all. Eternals has a black gay man. Tony Leung is from Hong Kong. Chloe Zhao is actively against the Chinese government. If Shang-Chi was really made to pander China then the movie wouldn't have cast Asian-Americans at all because China hates them, considers them as race traitors.
Shang-Chi I can understand that, the movie is clearly a postal card to China, wich is logical with his Chinese hero, hommage to martial arts movies, Tony Leug, the Mandarin replacing Fu Manchu as Shang's father and being more nuanced than many villains (even presented in a tragic way) to avoid the controversy of a Chinese villain wanting to take over the world against a rich white dude, Morris being a Hundun and the movie featuring a mostly Asian casting from an Asian director (Japanese) and the promo being highly focused on the whole "first MCU movie with an Asian super-hero". So technically, they ARE right about that, just not in the way they thinkI don't know why incel YouTubers say that Shang-Chi and Eternals were meant to pander to China. Let's just say the Tenochtitlan and Iroshima/Nagasaki episodes won't do us any favor so we'd better hope he doesn't find out about stuff like Elizabeth Bathory, Gilles de Rais, Albert Fish, Ted Bundy or Jack the Ripper for exampleAnd that's why I know Arishem will judge us guilty...
Oh, you mean a dragon-vampire idol, a eldritch priest, and two different being in form of killer loli alongside a polite abstract being?Let's just say the Tenochtitlan and Iroshima/Nagasaki episodes won't do us any favor so we'd better hope he doesn't find out about stuff like Elizabeth Bathory, Gilles de Rais, Albert Fish, Ted Bundy or Jack the Ripper for example
If I'm not wrong, Shang-Chi was aimed more for Asian-Americans. However the word "pandering" does fit. If the movie wanted to pander to China the main hero wouldn't have spend most of his life in America. The plot would have been something like a mainland Chinese saying China from white peopleShang-Chi I can understand that, the movie is clearly a postal card to China, wich is logical with his Chinese hero, hommage to martial arts movies, Tony Leug, the Mandarin replacing Fu Manchu as Shang's father and being more nuanced than many villains (even presented in a tragic way) to avoid the controversy of a Chinese villain wanting to take over the world against a rich white dude, Morris being a Hundun and the movie featuring a mostly Asian casting from an Asian director (Japanese) and the promo being highly focused on the whole "first MCU movie with an Asian super-hero". Eternals on the other hand, it's just stupid to say that, especially since the ONLY Asian Eternal is among the casualties
Colonialism intensifies.Let's just say the Tenochtitlan and Iroshima/Nagasaki episodes won't do us any favor so we'd better hope he doesn't find out about stuff like Elizabeth Bathory, Gilles de Rais, Albert Fish, Ted Bundy or Jack the Ripper for example
Yeah, THAT. REALLY, let's hope he doesn't even glance at this universeOh, you mean a dragon-vampire idol, a eldritch priest, and two different being in form of killer loli alongside a polite abstract being?
Shang-Chi isn't out in China either. Largely because Simu Liu and Awkwafina both talk about's their ancestors not-so-good experiences in China.Wasnt Eternals like literally banned from China? Cause of the Directors comments about China?
I know China also didnt like Shang Chi.
Crusades, terrorism (political and religious), human trafficking and so on: Hi thereColonialism intensifies.
It was I think. I mean, it's pretty clear the movie was essentially done just so Marvel could say "You see? We love China and diversity" (because no, you can't make me believe there's no cynism behind this in the slightest, just like with most rpogressive movies in the industry recently, looking at you lesbian scene in SW IX)Ya I’m pretty sure shang chi was for China until the main actors called China out
Theres alot through out human history that would probably make us guilty, like basically most of what happened from 1939-1945.And that's why I know Arishem will judge us guilty...
There's no need to focus on that to deem us guilty. Inventing Twitter or making the NES version of Dragon's Lair is more than enoughTheres alot through out human history that would probably make us guilty, like basically most of what happened from 1939-1945.
Agreed, it truly does seem that Thanos was right! There's no need to focus on that to deem us guilty. Inventing Twitter or making the NES version of Dragon's Lair is more than enough
BasedI feel like his just gonna pull out this cartoonishly long list of all the shitty things humanity has done over the years
Wanna know how bad we are? Ever played Outlast? Well, Outlast is inspired by some very nice real-life stuff called Project Mk-Ultra. EnjoyNow that im thinking about it holy shit humans have done alot of bad things
Yeah I've heard of that, human experimentation wasn't considered widely "inhumane" until roughly the mid to late 20th century. Heck even child rights weren't even common in 1st world countries until the late 20th century.Wanna know how bad we are? Ever played Outlast? I mean, just take a look at Victorian London. Ignoring the Ripper himself (wich is an entirely different matter), life was incredibly harsh at best for too many people and Whitechapel was pretty much Hell on Earth and what was happening there was worse than many, many modern-day stuff (and I'm not talking about how the asylum at the time handled people). Ironically, the Ripper helped to make things better since his killing spree put the attention on what was happening there. Not that it made what he did better at all, ESPECIALLY Mary Jane KellyYeah I've heard of that, human experimentation wasn't considered widely "inhumane" until roughly the mid to late 20th century. History is indeed horrible...
The British were responsible for many, many dirty stuff, India can indeed lampshade it and Irish can as wellThe great famines of India caused by the British killed millions
Fun fact: English is officially the language that'll represent humanity should we get extraterrestrial visitors according to the U.N (With spanish being the back up language if english is considered offensive). The British were responsible for many, many dirty stuff, India can indeed lampshade it and Irish can as well
So THAT'S why all aliens know English...Fun fact: English is officially the language that'll represent humanity should we get extraterrestrial visitors according to the U.N (With spanish being the back up language if english is considered offensive).
Meh, it's honestly not as bad. I mean, this era was just adapt, survive or kill or get killed. Every animal was basically a killing machine, the idea of morality was incredibly loose since it was the very beginning of mankind and again, the objective was to survive at all costs and the people at the time couldn't even understand things like storms or seasons, from their point of view winter was probably some curse whatever god-like figure they invented sent to them for unspeakable reasons. Judging this era with any form of morality is honestly a bad thing since there was no concept of bad, morality or civilizationAnd god only knows what was happening during the caveman era of humanity

True, but there were also no rules or law so there was probably a lot of ****** up stuff going onMeh, it's honestly not as bad. I mean, this era was just adapt, survive or kill or get killed. Probably. It's just that since everything was about surviving against the world itself without any comfort, I just think it's "less" horrific than times where humans could actually understand something else than "kill or get slaughtered"True, but there were also no rules or law so there was probably a lot of ****** up stuff going on
