Are we allowed to make profiles for something that is a published work of fiction, but that we ourselves have taken part in the creation of?

Because I was an actor and writer for two (shitty) films on Youtube about superheroes back in highschool, and I was suddenly struck with inspiration.

P.S. If it matters, the films were briefly monetized and sold on dvd before we ourselves pulled them.

Yeah, definitely important to get official input

I swear that I will avoid all bias and go purely based on feats.

Though I guess I can be Word of God in case of questions

I have never come across this type of situation before... I'm not sure, definitely gonna need more staff opinion on this.

What does mastered copy mean?

I have a copy of the original script somewhere, and I'm in the movie itself. does that help?

Also I would probably have to act as Word of God for the first film, considering that with its shitty quality, basically everything happening onscreen needs to be explained

I'd say that the minimum requirement would be that it's easily and publically available. If someone were to make a profile of your film, they should be able to easily be able to.

And if the movie is primarily Youtube based, I doubt it'd be allowed.

It's free on Youtube because we felt like it was no longer really worth the trouble of dvd sales, and we had no way of truly marketing it to a large audience anyway.

So we figured that as the makers of the film, why not just make it free?

I don't think I actually ever got our own dvd.

I have the posters for it in my room, though. As well as the mask i wear in the film.

Edit: It's not where I left it. dang it.

One of the reasons there is the requirement that a character should come from a notable and popular work is to make it so that someone can not simply create some fiction for the purpose of making profiles about it (aka so that no "official fanfictions" are made; see suggsverse for example).

So unless your work is professional (probably not if you call them shitty) and popular it probably isn't allowed, even if it is sold.

I am messaging my friends now.

The guy who played the villain is online, and if anyone does it'd be him.(not using real names because internet)

I mean, I'm pretty sure we have very obscure things on this wiki, and it isn't a fanfic
If I say "official fanfiction" what I mean is a work that in quality or popularity is close to the quality or popularity you commonly find in fanfiction, not that it uses official characters.

As said, look at Suggsverse as prime example of what certainly isn't allowed. (Suggsverse is published and sold )

I would say as rule of thumb, that if some random group of students can come together and produce a work of equal popularity or quality it probably isn't allowed.

WAIT HOLD THE PHONE, I HAVE A COPY OF THE DVD THAT MY MOM GOT

(thank you for spending money to support my highschool project, mom)

Suggsverse has no actual Omnipotent characters. The word Omnipotent is just over used and we ignored it. It's rejected because it isn't that popular outside of the fact that it's sole purpose was an attempt to make the most powerful verse in fiction.

Suggsverse charries don't really exceed 1-A, contrary to all the mewlings of its disenfranchised creator.

The description of Cataphysics sounds vaguely 1-A, and the Voyagers may be like a degree of infinity or two higher than them, and not boundless in comparison to each other in any way, and would only be just moderately strong 1-A characters.

And @Jordan, I think input from like Ant would be the yes or no to that. It'll probably be rejected due to the nature of it not being widely known.

Worst comes to worst, you can make a Profile on FC/OC Battles Wiki and still fight popular fictional characters.

The fact that everyone puts so much stock into 'Pataphysics and other abstractions on that is that 'Pataphysics was created as a joke. It's essentially hot air; there's no substance to it or its meaning, it's just meant to be as obtuse as possible.

Well, I wasn't referring to 'Pataphysics, though I enjoy that, too, in a joking manner, of course. I have a character in a series I'm writing that uses it against a character based on the usage of Metaphysical abilities, and loses.

I was referring to Cataphysics, the Suggsverse pseudo-philosophical concept that deals with "what is beyond the Apex of the infinitely ever-transcending supreme" or something like that. An in-depth explanation implies something along the lines of conceptual superiority over something at the top of an hierarchy of infinite infinities above and below each other in a manner of each being supreme in every aspect to each other. I forget. But it sounds vaguely 1-Aish with the Voyagers infinitely transcending people who manipulate Cataphysics.
