LEGO Video Game Adaptations General Discussion Thread

Bane feats. Obviously guys like Batman and Robin DO NOT scale to him. Bane would upscale those two based on how he's portrayed
I think dura and ap they can scale but not LS right..? Or?

Edit: Wait he's immune to attacks 🤔

So they scale to his feats of strength and bane a has likely far higher dura rating for him?

The weird thing about Bane is that there's a noticeable lack of Batman and Robin directly fighting him in any of the games.

In the first game, he knocks himself out and is apprehended by the police without Batman and Robin ever getting to fight him. He is at least shown to be capable of casually overpowering Killer Croc beforehand (though LB1 Croc is weaker compared to LB3 Croc, who is noted to be larger than before, making it no longer viable for Batman and Robin to fight him hand-to-hand).

In the second game, the only boss encounter with Bane during the main story is against his Mole Machine, leaving the only direct confrontation against him to be as a rather short miniboss in the open world.

After that, while Bane continued to be an unlockable character, I don't think he got any further story roles or boss fights.

Croc would definitely get a key between games. In LB1, he gets defeated by Batman and Robin. Given how the three could trade blows, and Bane CASUALLY overpowers LB1 Croc, we do know that Bane is much stronger than Batman and Robin, it is still weird that like you said, they never really directly fight him

Here's something I completely forgot about. LB1 has data files

Like the LB1 game manual and LB3 claims, the Robin we follow from LB1, LB2, and LB3 is in fact Tim Drake (as we discussed, Robin being called Dick Grayson in LB2 is an error). This file also claims that a 9-year-old Tim deducted Batman's true identity. Pretty decent intelligence feat

We also know that in LB1, Dick Grayson is already Nightwing

Since this is the feat we're scaling to Batman/Robin tiers (or whatever we wanna call that, a majority of Gotham villains scale here), I thought I'd bring up more feats

-Batman and Robin can destroy giant chests filled with gold with a single attack
-Robin destroys a large dumpster, and can do so more times throughout the level (Batman can do this as well)
-Joker and Scarecrow can destroy sizeable museum displays
-Scarecrow can destroy an even larger museum display (Joker can do this as well)
-Penguin and Catwoman are also capable of this

As a note, LEGO Dimensions clearly tries to position the Batman in its main story as the same one from the LEGO Batman games, as Joker brings back the giant robot from LEGO Batman 2, with both Joker and Batman referencing the previous incident involving the robot.

Dimensions also seems to be the only game where Bane gets a proper boss fight during the main story.
Actually playing through LEGO Dimensions would be extremely difficult considering its a toys to life game

The Doc Ock feat doesn't scale to most of the cast, right? Seeing as he one-shots the main characters.
No...? The cast in that level absolutely scales to him. Him "one-shotting" there is a gameplay mechanic, Ock is never portrayed as being highly superior to Spidey, Cap, and Reed

Spidey, Cap, and Reed definitely scale to Ock

Actually, it isn't even a game mechanic....he doesn't even one-shot during that boss fight. Watch closely

That along with the fact that Spidey, Cap, and Reed can box up Ock (with Reed even calling Spidey the "Doc-Ock expert", meaning they've fought in the past several times)

At the moment, people on Spidey, Cap, and Reed's level are 8-B

Hawkeye and Black Widow tiers wouldn't be there though, at least not as things stand. Human Torch, who AFAIK is on the same level as Cap, was able to get back up from an attack that instantly took out Hawkeye and Black Widow. Coulson even addresses Clint and Natasha as not being "super"

Nah. Bane is depicted as being far stronger than LB1 Killer Croc, who's on the same level as base Batman and Robin

Honestly I really like how they straight up had Robin address the fact that he got bigger rather than just shrugging it off as if this has been the case for awhile. Keeps the continuity with LB1 in a minor, but neat way

The data files give us a bit more to look at

Bane is referred to as a fearsome enemy, having broken Batman's back in the past, which led to Azrael taking over for some time
Bane is very intelligent, with him having studied military strategy to combat Batman (sadly, he is a crashout as seen when Penguin left him behind, but at least they kept the detail about him being highly intelligent)

Does LEGO Marvel Avengers have any good feats that are worth calculating? It doesn't share a timeline with Superheroes IIRC, so we can't use these calcs

Yeah, it doesn't share a timeline with LEGO Marvel Superheroes, but we should really focus on Marvel Superheroes over Avengers for now regarding the Marvel side of things

You could make the argument for Planet level Lego Superman. He was capable of clashing with Brainiac's shrinking rays, which are able to reduce planets to bottle size

This seems more like hax resistance

There's still an AP value that can be gathered from this interestingly enough

The shrinking ray itself is powered by seven different Lanterns. Given how Hal Jordan is 6-B (64.52 teratons of TNT in this case), and the other Lanterns should be on his level, we can multiply that value by seven, giving us 451.64 teratons, which would be Large Country level+

Superman fought and overpowered the shrinking ray beam in question, meaning he would scale to this, given us a rating for his full power

Oh, yeah. The LEGO Super Heroes: Batman Visual Dictionary has some LEGO DC Videogames exclusive stuff. I'll be pulling from that for page material

ALSO. This book confirms that Robin is Tim Drake in LB1

Also, Killer Croc's LB3 key looks like it might be 6-B

  • Batman and Robin, who are 9-A (at the moment), are incapable of harming him, which lines up with LB3 Croc being far beyond them
  • Lex claims that Croc's strength will come to good use on the Watchtower (based on the following feats, this likely applies to the 6-B guys and not the High 6-B+ Superman)
  • Cyborg's special armour was required to fight Killer Croc, with said special armour trading blows with Solomon Grundy, who could fight/take hits from Green Lantern and Wonder Woman
    • Additionally, base Cyborg could fight Cheetah, who has fought Wonder Woman
    • Solomon Grundy could also take hits from/physically contend with Atrocitus, who should be on the same level as other Lanterns
    • Wonder Woman could trade blows with Sinestro
He also ate Dr. Fate, but I can't remember if his LEGO version has any feats or scaling here
