Oof really?
Yeah, around World 10 the game forces you to use only one party member for the main story, and makes you fight a boss that can two-shot you in a small arena. It also has several fodder enemies that are way tankier than they need to be, some of which can kill the most durable tank in the game in a few seconds.

They're also immune to all forms of knockback so you can't interrupt their attacks without stunning them with a special ability, which is impossible in most cases since you might've used it on the enemy that is camping at the back of the battlefield and can deal immense damage to your entire party, often killing everyone except the tank, with a single status effect that encompasses the entire room. They also limit how many times you can resurrect as well, adding artificial difficulty for stages that were already hard
 
If that's the case it's a stomp in both ways, if I give Princess her FP stuff she'll just seal them both first move. Sad times
