Having an energy system similar enough to cursed energy that characters can use or just hax that they don’t resist like soul hax or something

Depends on whether or not the verse uses that NPI outside of just the ghost thing. As in do those characters with NPI also hit souls of characters that aren’t ghosts or can they just touch ghosts when they’re ghosts. If yes then that’s soul hax which would work if not then nah I don’t think so

Mahoraga probably has no soul since it's technically not an independent being but a cursed technique

Guys is it true that JJK characters cannot see souls? Well bleach scalers mention this as cursed spirits are just invisible because of different light spectrum which downgrades their overall abilities

Ce and Shrine aren’t invis because they’re souls/spiritual like how Shinigami are. Ce/curses are invis because they’re in a different light spectrum. Shinigamis are invis as souls and are beyond ghosts. Almost no one can see the contours of souls in jjk, Mahoraga is no different.

In character, Mayuri would try do testing to his enemies if they seem unknown or interesting. He would try stabbing Mahoraga first and sees what it can do. After Maho adapts to it, Mayuri would try first to capture it for his science progression (did so like with Pernida)

He also would try to win as sba says.

So how does verse equalization works?

Equalization is for two power systems that are similar. Reishi and ce aren’t the same. And like I said even within jjk the characters can’t see the soul, so equalizing does nothing. Its not a matter of verse mechanics, they are...

Read the profiles. No one but very few have soul perception like Gojo or Yuji. And ce sensing doesn’t help with soul perception

Most of them can't. So far the only characters that are confirmed to be able to see souls are Gojo, Sukuna, Yuji, Mahito, Maki and Toji

Since the mechanics behind the invisibility of souls in bleach aren't explained it isn't really a downgrade, one series just chooses to explain it while the other doesn't. And the issue with JJK isn't that they can't see souls, souls in JJK are just so closely intermingled with biology i.e. Kenjaku, Geto, and Toji. JJk's enhanced senses/extrasensory perception by all rights should be qualified enough to see bleach souls since while souls are different between series the invisibility isn't

True he can interact with it through his CT but I'm not sure if that translates to him being able to see it

Not actually, I don't think anyone but Mahito, Gojo, Yaga, and Mechimaru see souls as they're the only characters given visuals for them outside of that strange space that those scenes between the dead and living and innate domains take place. Everyone else who can do soul stuff appear more able to just sense and account for the soul.
