Unfortunately the only characters free of the subsonic curse are Gojo and Sukuna. For everyone else you have some way of limiting them to the mach 1-3 range

Grade 1 Sorcerers are meant to deal with Special Grade Curses. They're regarded as the hallmark of a sorcerer that is naturally achievable
Special Grade Sorcerers are anomalies and practically an impossible occurrence in the modern age. They naturally scale above everything ranked lower

They're special grade cause they can solo countries, not cause they're stronger than others.
Principal Yaga was about to become a Special Grade before they murked him solely cause he can make a bunch of cursed dolls. Panda's one of the strongest ones he has. Yet he's about to be special grade cause of it

no that gives you a grade 2 status, grade 1s are specifically grade 1 because they can fight special grade curses and win and could fight any grade 1 curse and win without question.
Thats fair but he is a special case.

He already perception blizted her twice as far as fight goes. Idk about how Gege gonna write next but chapter 245 Hakari clearly blizted her. If people really thinks Uraume didn't got blizted I can't help them.

On that note, the Fan Book says that every finger contains the energy of a Special Grade Cursed Spirit. Would the baseline be added multiplied for every finger, then?

Grade 2s are capable of fighting grade 1s. They are not supposed to fight grade 1s.
No he's not.
The only reason Geto's a special grade is cause of his cursed spirit manipulation allowing him to build an army. Just like Yaga.

Baseline Grade 1 sorcerers are weaker than Special Grade Curses yes. They are the minimum level to fight against such curses but they are still weaker in general.
Mei Mei can fight against a Special Grade Curse for exemple and is even stronger physically, however, she would still lose the fight without Ui Ui
Special Grade Curses are still seen as invincible by some grade 1 sorcerers, such as Kokusen, who would rather die then face a special grade in Shibuya

I mean with kusakabe the reason he doesn't want to fight the special grades is because the ones he sees are Jogo (big oof) and Ryomen god damned Sukuna (OOF!!!!) of course he doesn't want to fight them they are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond a regular special grade curse (I mean jogo by himself is worth 8 base special grades) so not exactly the best example
and we also see that Mei mei was able to utterly decimate the special grade in CQC and was ripping it limb from limb, the only issue was the domain.
