To be fair in Part 3 he like, rarely used Hamon even though it would've been beneficial on a number of occasions (could've used the water-stays-in-glass trick to beat D'Arby, Joseph...)

Dura neg requires him to actually hit her when she can kill him from the 5 meter range they start at, as well as it being in character for Joseph to try to run from an opponent who can potentially kill him

Didn't you say that Yang wouldn't be able to land a hit on Dio because of the skill gap? If she can't hit Dio because of the skill gap, no way in hell can she hit Joseph. Speed is equalized he's not running circles any time soon, especially when one goon hit can knock him out and the rounds Yang uses have the AoE to do so even if they dont hit him

Say, can Joseph trick her? I mean, in theory he could, but most of his turnarounds against stronger opponents were taking advantage of his surroundings or tools or weapons he had at reach, but can that be applied to a VS thread with a "neutral" setting?. I can imagine if this was a RWBY setting Joseph would be able to find something to use effectively on Yang, but that would be nudging things in Joseph's favor, wouldn't it?

Ah, gotcha. Hmm, not much to weaponize against Yang. Distractions at best. Had forgotten he also had mindhax. Then again it's not close combat was a smart choice against the Aztec Gods of Fitness to try it again.
