JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Discussion Thread IV: Diamond is Unbreakable

Spin has a way less difficult ease of entrée while Hamon you need to have a supernatural will and be 1/10,000 and have good aptitude and shit.
But, Spin is far more difficult to master, like, to the point at some point you're just guessing and seeing what shit flies and what doesn't.

it’s not hard if you have a master to help you.

don't you think it's difficult for jojo matches sometimes

since not many non-jojo characters have enhanced non-physical interaction/perception

so how do you do good matches for jojo characters if said opponents can't even see or interact with stands

Get someone who doesn't need to interact with them.

i think your talking about hax stands. (since it's just a case of who can use their hax first/how well the hax is used)

basically okuyasu matches. (cause you don't need to interact with the stand you just need to kill okuyasu or he za handos you)

I'm not talking about anything, just get a dude who can still defeat the user without having to fight the Stand itself, after all, the best way to defeat a Stand is to take out the main body even in canon.

If you don't know how its because Jotaro realized he could move in stopped time with a magnet, and Dio had no idea how long Jotaro's time stop was so he was forced to be cautious unless he's trying to get his brain destroyed

Crazy how if Dio just instantly went for goring Jotaro after killing Joseph he would've won, him making one slightly cocky move screwed him over so hard.
That one was kinda fair, imagine have extreme detailed information on your opponent, gathered from like a dozen of your minions engaging him to where you generally know what he's capable of and his abilities. And you then prove you're better in a quick exchange and proceed to go in for the kill.

But then the ****** suddenly whips out YOUR ABILITY and hard counters you in a completely unprecedent action that is never repeated ever again before or after in like all of history.

Dio was done ******* dirty.

but he is arrogant isn’t he?

Arrogant yeah, but not dumb.

He will kill foes right away when he gets a chance, he'll be careful and try exploitation or avoid his foe's capabilities, and he won't **** around if needed as displayed against Jotaro (minus the initial exchange, the moment Jotaro became a threat, Dio did everything he could to defeat him without any risk).
He knows from experience that he shouldn't quite **** around or act to cocky as that's what lead to his defeat against Jonathan, he underestimated him and thought to highly of himself, he says as much against Jotaro that his defeat 100 years ago taught him not be stupid as shit. (Part 1 Dio is overly cocky tho).

Dio's one tiny **** up at the start is what snowballed to his defeat, which while he was a tad cocky, the consequences of it was so bullshit that he shouldn't be blamed for it at all. It's like if you spent a year watching a dude fight in life and death battles, you know everything about this dude and you know for a fact that you can take him and you know what he's capable of, thus, you pull a punch for fun before you go in for the kill, and the ****** counters with a kamehameha.

makes me wonder why gilgamesh just didn't do the same with shirou as well

considering he's the oldest servant in existence, the very first in fact. (After all he's called the king of heroes for a reason)

ah you mean when he saw jotaro's finger twitch

Because hermit purple can harm him, and hermit purple is simply an extension of his arm, thus they scale to one another
