Is this Matter Manipulation or Reality Warping?

『Do you mean using magic with thought?』 『Roughly like that. Desire for something strongly, and make it happen using magic power and spirit.』

That's quite a lackadaisical magic.

『Is there no need for spell and prior-preparation?』
『That's magic (majutsu) right? Don't you want to learn about Primeval Magic (mahou)?』

Apparently, Primeval Magic is really a magic that create phenomenons only with imagination.

I think that is just the mechanism behind the magic of... whatever that is for a series.

What abilities it gives them depends on what they do with it.

Vizualizating the phenomenon in order to accoplish it with magic is not that unusual of a way to use magic, but isn't as unrestrictive as it might seem.

What can be done is dependent on what magic in general can accomplish (for example I know a verse where magic basically works by imagining what should happen, but magic can only accomplish elemental manipulation, meaning imagining something else will not give results), how creative the user is with it (if a user only imagines fire attacks it will only be that), if the user has the magic power to accomplish what it imagines and if it is able to imagine it.

Inheritance is a good example of a verse where magic works with the principle described here, but the magic users can really not be described as reality warpers or anything. (Well, they can be described as reality warpers just like more or less every supernatural ability can be classified as limited reality warping, but that is not a good description for what they actually do)

Hi ThSandman31 here

While getting magic power supply, I created cities with multi-storied buildings and 10 KM gaps in between, and covered them in a barrier that'd protect them from radiation and pollutio

He Also transformed a Demon lord Weasel Emperor back into a normal weasel man and turned a rock into a sheep

Yeah, that sounds like it qualifies for reality warping.

Magic = Reality Warping 99% times.
Magic is just another term for Reality bending skills.
Every ability is a subset of reality warping and almost every ability can, if used to its maximum capabilities, be used to warp reality.

That said most people that can use magic are not reality warpers. Well not more than most people that use any other supernatural power are reality warper.

Reality warping is just a way to vague ability in the liberal use we have on the wiki.

Magic is the term you use when you're not fully appearent of the formula, or actual operation.

And when you want to hide something. Like the description of how to, and the principles.

It's just reality warping.
