Soundwave tells him explicitly that he should use it in Combat as soon as the Mission starts.

But he doesn't use it at all in the movies. Like, if it was in character for him to use that ability all the time, I'd agree. But it's only used in specifically in gameplay and that one cutscene which is a bit dubious.

I'm not saying he's gonna lead with it against Iron Man, but if Tony proves too hard for him to hit normally for whatever reason then nothing is stopping him from just ruining his suit with the Siphon.

Okay. Seems reasonable he'd more likely use it when in a weakened state, like we see him in the game.

What exactly is stopping Megatron from sucking Iron Man's Life Force from him with his Energon Siphon again?

Probably the fact that neither Tony nor the suit are powered by Energon.

Unless, such a weapon has worked on multiple sources of energy outside of other Cybertronians.
