I quit from being an admin.

I had a long emotional speech saying how much fun I had here, how I had good fun and arguments with good people, thanks for everything yada yada yada, and I meant all of it, but:
- I wrote it almost 2 years ago when I actually first meant to quit, and I deleted it when I was convinced to stay until the forum move, thinking that would happen substantially less than almost two years later.
- I wrote it again a month ago when the forum move was about to happen, but it got deleted by the bot that deletes posts you take too long to write.

And I don't have the energy to write it again.

Anyway, I quit from my staff position. I still have a few profiles I'd like to add or change a bit but I'm just not enjoying commenting on threads much these days. I'll still be on discord.

Goodbye, I know how repetitive and subjective vs. debating can get, so I don't blame your change of taste. Feel free to come back even if briefly to whatever catches your eye.
 
Sorry to hear that, while I don't think we interacted... it's sad when someone leaves but that's life, some come while other leaves. For you, this is the end of a journey but the beginning of another. Best of luck.

If there's one person who understands this, it's me.

You don't have to explain this to me. We've had plenty of conversations about this, so I see where you're coming from and what reasons you have for this decision. It's a bit sobering to finally see it happen, but I get it, a lot more than most people would.

That said, 'this place won't be the same without you' feels like a giant cliché, but in this instance, it's the truth. For a long time, you stood as a fine example of what to be in this place, between your spirited debating and your entirely levelheaded approach to the responsibilities of the staff positions you were given. You've been one of the better figureheads of this place for as long as I've known you, and that's something I can't say about a lot of others.

You're going to be leaving a good legacy behind. Be proud of that, once you're making your way to someplace better.
 
Depends on if they are willing to let a particular guy in.

For example, I'm permabanned on VS Central, yet I'm fine in others. It's a sort of fan-thing for the comfortability of certain users, rather than an official one, as said before.

I was looking forward to helping out with the Last Story pages eventually, but I suppose I'll have to either take over or look for other supporters. But it was really nice having you as an Admin. You were a great help here and sad to see you go. But I do hope you won't be long gone and don't mind chatting on Discord.
 
I cannot say it any better than MrKing. Although our verses don't intersect so we haven't interacted all that much but you always had a good sense of judgment and were one of the most levelheaded admins, from what I have seen over the years. I get what you're going through and often times a break can really help you gain back your interest. You're always welcome back to your old position if that time comes.

Thanks for all of your help over the years. You were a great admin and your contributions for the site has been invaluable.
 
As other have said, I am very sad to see you go. You have been an excellent fairminded, rational, unbiased, and levelheaded administrator, and are always welcome back to your old position if you should change your mind.

However, I wish you all the best for your future outside of this community. Please take care of yourself.
