Hi, I made a kind of calc to estimate how long it would take.
Let's assume that Alucard will get hit without reacting.
Alucard had a little bit more than 3 400 000 souls before absorbing Schrödinger.
When Alucard is stabbed to the heart he loses a soul, then he regenerates using bats, dust, shadows, etc... and he is virtually invincible while doing it. Cutting him into pieces, reducing him into pulp, etc... is useless, he will just regenerate and not lose a soul.
It takes few seconds for him to regenerate after losing a soul, let's say it takes 3 seconds ( but it should take a little bit more Imo, watch Alucard vs Priest/Anderson/Rip Van Winkle).
3 450 000 * 3 ( seconds ) = 10 350 000 seconds.
1 day = 86 400 seconds.
10 350 000 / 86 400 = 119 days ~ 4 months. You need to fight during 4 months to kill him for real and you must stab his heart to kill a soul.
We also know that Alucard took 30 years to kill every souls inside him ( those souls were fodder to him ) but we don't know about how...
