Honestly Simon's evolution is sorta eh for the higher levels in my view. Most of the time he:

• Requires an outside mecha to actually do anything (GL)
• Something else he can absorb into his mecha (GL's wings)
• A bigger object to fuse with (AGL / SGGL)
• An outside power source (SGGL / TTGL / STTGL)

Like with SGGL he only reached there because he absorbed previous races spiral energy, TTGL required the various alt-multiverse versions combining into themselves and STTGL/Post-Apotheosis required them absorbing energy from the Anti-Spiral.
