Higher-end The Boys TV Series Character Speed

Not even Soldier Boy or Homelander have a much higher reaction speed shown on their profile. You may ask as to why they should get that stat, well in the fight against Butcher, Soldier Boy literally blocks his lasers as the laser is still being fired. He does so Here. I know it seems like he preemptively held up his shield to block it, but in the scene, you could hear Butcher's laser already making the laser sounds it usually does when it's already firing a bit before Soldier Boy blocks, and it isn't the little laser flickering of the eyes glowing. The lasers are also CONFIRMED to be lasers and not some heat vision or energy. And this is because in the official audio description of the episode, the narrator says that Butcher "fires his laser eyes at Soldier Boy", which I can't find a video for online, but you can see for yourself on Amazon Prime Video, and this part in this Video at 11:52.

Those who are directly comparable to him like Homelander, or have also fought Homelander straight on like Butcher should get a somewhat similar speed due to that brawl they had during that one episode.

Just being called lasers is not enough for lightspeed reactions, or "higher reaction speed" anyway
How exactly?? There are even other official sources that call them lasers. I don't see how that doesnt justify them having a sub-relativistic reaction speed there.

(for some reason the text is bold, but too lazy to change it)

You need the following conditions fulfilled to qualify for Light Speed:
  • The beam refracts in a new material, such as a liquid or...
  • The beam diffuses in a reasonably realistic way or reflects off a material that it can be expected to, such as a non-magical mirror.
  • The beam is called lightspeed by reliable sources.
  • It is stated to be composed/consisting of photons or light itself, again by a reliable source.
  • It has its origin at a realistic source of light, such as a camera.
You need to fulfill at least two of the qualifying criteria to to get a Light Speed rating.

Furthermore, there are a few criteria which show a beam is NOT real light:
  • It is shown at different speeds in the same material.
  • It is tangible and can be interacted with physically by normal humans.
  • They do not travel in straight lines (unless you can prove refraction/reflection, see above.)
Please note that the opposite of these criteria do not prove a beam is at lightspeed, merely that it could be, should it meet the first list of criteria. Should there be great evidence in favor of the light being real or lightspeed, comparably minor showing against it being real can be overruled.
