Ground to Cloud lightning

Would ground to cloud lightning be as valid as cloud to ground lightning to determine if an attack is real lightning?
 
I mean yeah that seems legit, it's an actual type of lightning so if it has the properties of lightning, it's probably fair game
 
Sure leader strikes and return strokes have different lightning speeds.

However unless situations specify, we presume lightning as moving at 440,000 m/s.

And yes ground to cloud is as good as cloud to ground.

Unless you want to argue a case of return stroke.
 
The ground to cloud is actually usually faster and often goes up to like 1/3rd the speed of light iirc.
