Except, it is. When matter and antimatter interact, they both annihilate, converting 100% of their mass into energy.

And as far as I know, GP is made of matter.

Of course this also creates an explosion that will bother neither GP nor Gira. But I don't think GP will be as unbothered by no longer having a physical form.
