I don't really have the effort to write a detailed and coherent list of feats for Goku being FTE, so I'm just going to essentially make some bullet points that prove he and similar characters should have Subsonic movement speed, and Supersonic after training with Master Roshi.
In Chapter 3 of Dragon Ball, at Goku's weakest level of speed in the whole saga, he's able to easily blitz a bear thief and appear on his blade before he even notices. In Chapter 16, he easily finesses a member of the Rabbit Gang, somersaulting over him before he can react. Goku is also able to consistently react in mid-flight while using a Flying Nimbus, which can move at Mach 1.5 according to Daizenshuu 4.
Even part way through Goku's training with Master Roshi, he could briefly dodge bullet-fire before being tagged. By the time of the Tournament, he easily blitzes a ma and an entire audience without using his full power, and performs this feat again. After regrowing his tail, Goku blitzes Gira while restrained.
During the battle between Krillin and Master Roshi, the former is unable to see the latter's punch. Goku mentions he should be able to, as he could and the two both did the same training. With this knowledge, Krillin can keep up with Master Roshi's FTE movements.
Later in the Tournament Saga, Krillin and Master Roshi's entire fight takes place in a fraction of a second. The two are equal in speed, so it's not even like running speed =/= combat speed argument can applies here. For reference, Krillin also blitzes someone who trained in the same temple.
Goku doesn't just react to Nam during their battle, he also leaps significantly faster, reaching far above the city and landing before he does.
