God of War: Ragnarok Discussion Thread

The alternate timeline where Ares kills Kratos in II.
Hmm...so if there's confirmed alternate timelines in GOW...how does death work when it comes to beings unbound by time like the Titans and Primordials?

Because we know they could see the future of Kratos coming back in time to bring them right as they were about to lose the war which didn't really affect them in the past...

But like say when Kratos kills them...do they have alternate copies just unaffected in other timelines? Shouldn't there technically be only one version of them across all time since they are supposed to be unbound by the very concept?

I am so confused...

Or like when the world pillar was destroyed and was going to send everything back to Chaos...would that include the alternate timelines within the Greek Pantheon or just that specific timeline?

I guess it's the same with the world serpent in ragnarok? The one we saw was apparently from an alternate timeline where Ragnarok happened cause Kratos wasn't in that timeline...or rather didn't come to the Norse Lands in that timeline right?

There is only an alternate timeline Mortal World.

If that happened, no more alternate timelines.

That one's an even bigger can of worms.

Is Mjolnir bouncing off of Kratos in Spartan Rage a usable feat or is it just gameplay mechanics or something along those lines?
It's 100% a usable feat. Not everything in gameplay is outright game mechanics. Context is king. Even Mimir warns Kratos to stay in control when Kratos uses too much Spartan Rage.

The funny thing is now with Valor Rage, if you time that block right, not only will Kratos eat it like a champ, but he will also gain back Health from the impact akin to Dante's Royalguard.

Valor literally is GoW's version of Royalguard.

Of course, Spartan Rage having 3 forms is just blatant game mechanics, Kratos can use all of their effects at the same time if he wants to lore-wise, GoW3 Kratos even more so.
