Not even a bit. The moment Kratos started to land hits on Heimdall it becomes painfully clear that Heimdall just isn't a match for the more battle-hardened God of War. Kratos tends to call a lot of his foes "formidable", but that's just because he doesn't wanna take any chances or leave behind loose ends.

In terms of scaling? Not even close. Nobody save for Freya, Ragnarok, Starkadr, Thor and Odin even come close to Ares and the Brother Kings, let alone Zeus or GoW3 Kratos.
Hell, even the most rudimentary of Olympian weapons stand above the Blades of Chaos by a large margin.

Realm Shift, and Bifrost, which negates durability.
Once again, if you can bypass the durability and literally stop your foe in time while they can't make a move, it's basically a win-win game for you.
Neither Thor or Odin were stupid enough to try and take on Starkadr head on even by combining their forces. It's literally why they had to bring him to a false trial to be able to kill him.

I don't think Bifrost being dura neg is on his profile, and realm shift wouldn't work if he didn't have a way to hurt Hercules.

Yeah, Bifrost, Seidr and Vanir, which have some juicy hax. Still not enough to even come close to the Brother Kings unfortunately.
Bifrost can also amplify physicals and help create brand-new limbs. It is however, easily nullified by Kratos' rage.

Soul hax on the level of Hades. And a shit-ton of resistance to said hax. Resistance, they simply do not have.
Hell, Zeus could pluck out their souls from his throne tens of thousands of kilometers away by twiddling his thumbs and they'd never see him coming.
Which can only go so far against idiots spamming AoE attacks like Helios or any of the other brother kings TBF. AoE attacks are the bane of Heimdall's existence.
That's actually the funniest part. Literally the only dude who can knock Kratos out of his Rage of Sparta mode is Herc. Even Zeus can't do it in the final boss fight.
Brother Kings got murked. GoW3 Endgame Zeus was evenly matched with Kratos until Fear Zeus bounced and negged Kratos' entire HUD.

Durations like that in any game without any further explanations on such limitations other than "muh game balancing" are generally considered game mechanics, yes.
Though given that Kratos is verbatim stated to outpace time-based abilities with sheer speed alone, it doesn't mean much if you have the raw power to do otherwise.

And for what it's worth, yes, Realm Shift can indeed be performed physically by Kratos if he so desires. Some weapons just channel that kind of power to trigger a better Realm Shift than most.
That and there's always Gjallarhorn, and whatever the **** it does to unite the Realms as one, even if temporarily.
