Introduction

This will be a rather short revision that aims to upgrade the level of being of the Runic Magic utilized by the Nine Realms and their inhabitants as well as all of its variants.

Runic Magic Potency

Runic Magic flows through the entirety of the Nine Realms and is drawn from their very makeup. Supported by Freya, confirming that each geographical region has magic innate to it entirely, from which beings draw their magical abilities, meaning that this magic is not only innate to the Realms, but the entirety of Scandinavia as a geographical region on the supernatural Earth of the God of War setting.

The above is important because as established already, each geographical region on the Earth is a self-contained macrocosm, holding entire realities within it. As such, this would be the magic of the whole of the Nordic World, Yggdrasil and all. It's very important to how in that same scene on the boat, Kratos had lost all of his magic when the Greek lands were driven to chaos after the death of its gods. This includes even the energy of Tartarus that he uses to command his Hadean powers, the arcane power of the Underworld itself, an infinite space-time continuum. So this magic clearly encompasses all of a mythological macrocosm and the variants of it therein.

It's also older than the entirety of the Nine Realms and existed in the Ginnungagap as a primordial essence from which Ymir and everything else spawned. This is further confirmation of what we already know, that despite the Nine Realms ultimately being encompassed by the World Tree and only part of a cycle of creation and destruction, this magic is independent of and greater than them, being beyond anything man can understand.

Based on the above, the potency of Runic Magic would scale to that of the World Tree as a whole, which is currently accepted as the cosmic entity that supports all of the Nordic world and its inhabitants and realms.

Are you saying each mythology has their own magic, and each magic is apart of the realms entire make up (space-time continuum) and thus it's potency is on that level?

In a nutshell yeah. Each "land" is its own mini-multiverse with magic drawn from its very makeup, capable of even creating higher-dimensional beings like Ymir.

Looks like the Norse gods are gradually catching up in the hax department.

Also, who can use this runic magic in-universe?
All Norse magics are variants of it. So basically, any magic wielding gods and monsters.

It also makes Grecian magic that potent but I'm not sure if we currently have any magic wielders that don't already have 4-D hax scaling in the Greek World.

This seems pretty easy agree and sounds interesting. I'm glad there's finally a CRT thread addressing this. However, I'm still curious about the "primordial fire" Surtr mentioned. He stated that it didn't matter whether the Blades of Chaos and primordial fire came from Greece. Does that mean all mythologies in this world have the same primordial beginning and magic?

Essentially, yeah. As far as we can tell.

Edit: To be exact, they have the same origins in their mythologies rather than a singular magic across all of them.

48 hours are over, so this can be applied.

@Dereck03 Could you please open the God of War Magic System Explanation Page?
