Why would that help? Most of her stuff is paint that moves? Would the illusions even work on paint? Though she also could start with the sparkler which homes in on him, so illusions don’t matter.

illusions are his first move he can use that before she uses her summons

Not necessarily, her first move is either Summons or Homing shots. While no matter what Ribbon will shoot him.
The homing would already be focused on him or she would be working on the summoning, which you haven’t proven would care about the illusions.
