Erza's best chance is to get one decisive strike in before gildedguy can get too strong. If she can do that, i'll vote her.

I don't think Erza could get in a quick decisive blow against Gil, his fighting style doesn't have any real weaknesses or specialization that she can exploit with her weapons or armors, and he's a very skilled fighter.

I think he'd be able to fight roughly evenly, though maybe at a slight disadvantage, until he could take her out with to his reactive power level.

He doesn't leave openings with large attacks or anything like that, and he doesn't have any sort of elemental affinity or magic that she can exploit with her armor. It's simply high martial and sword skill with the bonus of adjustable range, and enough intelligence to exploit weaknesses through environmental use.
