This commission heavily suggests that Hilichurls can't swim. It's one thing if enemies can't swim in-game but it's another thing if the dialogue of the characters outright encourages you to exploit that, so we can add the weakness of not being able to swim to the Hilichurl page.

Lawachurl cannot be lifted easily. but there are other methods to make them drown. and yeah they instantly die and drown just like hilichurls
