I have a question! In DC Comics, why are the Gods so sinful? Since they are Gods, shouldn't they be able to tell from what is right and wrong? This question is coming from a Catholic's perspective by the way.

They decide what's good and what's wrong and them being gods doesn't mean they cannot do evil, they think like humans like all the gods of every myth and religion

Christianity is Monotheistic, polytheistic pantheons have gods with more "human" motivations. You literally can't square this circle

Yes, the writers keep contradicting each other all the time, as I keep trying to explain, so stacking different cosmologies on top of each other doesn't logically work.

There are some quite serious allegations regarding Geoff Johns (and Dan Didio, but that was far more expected) in this article:
That said, he did turn Superboy-Prime into a sadistic "take that" against idealists who dislike grimdark content, and there have been various news articles about him mistreating Zack Snyder as well, so I suppose that it doesn't come out of nowhere.
I do think that Geoff is usually a good writer though.

In the Sandman and DeMatteis narrative, this position belongs to the Presence. The existence of such a being has been heavily implied multiple times through various statements. While it is often unnamed or abstract, it is sometimes referred to as the Unknowable or The Creator. The Source was once described as a manifestation of the Creator’s power, which is not inconsistent with its overall portrayals.
The Source — a manifestation of the Creator’s power.
It's up to all of you to decide whether you think it would be better to dismantle this section, but I think it should remain. The Source and Presence have recently been identified as the Light of Creation, while there is mention of a God beyond light and darkness, the one who brought everything into being, even the awakening of the Great Darkness is part of its plan.
This Crisis has been brewing since time began.

For the Overvoid, I did not identify it as the same as the Light because of the following reasoning:
In Justice League Incarnate #4 (2022), Doctor Multiverse implied that the Overvoid is the same as the Light. However, since many of her claims about the Great Darkness were later revealed to be false in Dark Crisis, her statement cannot be taken at face value and should be considered an unreliable interpretation. We can thus conclude that the Overvoid remains the pre-creational void from which the Light emanated and in which the Great Darkness “resides.”
What do you think?

There isn’t any reason. We just say that Earth-2 Superman went from multi-stellar LS (scaling to Earth-1 Superman) to stellar lifting strength when he was in the paradise dimension for some reason too.

Not necessarily. The Endless are present in all Multiverses of the Greater Omniverse, but remain a by-product of the Big Bang caused by Perpetua when she created the Multiverse (New History of the DC Universe)

I just want to clarify one point regarding the inconsistencies in DC's cosmology. The cosmologies of Vertigo and Crisis are compatible to a certain extent. For example: in Vertigo, the Endless are sometimes described as older than Creation, while in Crisis, they were born from the Big Bang. In Vertigo, the Silver City is located in the Void while in Crisis, the Silver City is located within the Sphere of the Gods. In Vertigo, Mother Night and Father Time are parents to the Endless and their interplay made all versions of Creation possible, while in Crisis, they are not even mentioned, though we can assume they are a product of a different belief system, shaped through the Collective Unconscious, but it's just a theory. Key elements remain compatible enough to combine the two cosmologies if we favor recent material and add only older information that remains consistent with the broader continuity. While some elements of DeMatteis' stories will be used, the entire cosmology made by DeMatteis will remain separate as its own interpretation of the DC cosmology.

The Endless come from the Big Bang, but aren't limited to just one Creation. Their influence extends across all Creations of the Greater Omniverse.

I would say sure. The Life Equation in particular might've got retcon a bit though. Previously, it was the energy of Life that could shape all of existence. You know, the energy that comes from the hand when it creates everything. Yeah, that's the Life Equation in it's full form. But now it seems like it was really dialed back via Perpetua inclusion and during John Stewart Emerald Knights run. Then the Godhead run itself was flat out retconned with the recent GL comics. Making it where Kyle Rayner didn't receive the Life Equation from the Source. The Life Entity gave itself to Kyle to help him return from the void beyond the source wall.
By the way, that may or may not be an issue with the tiering. Because as far as I know, the Emotional Entities surviving beyond the Source Wall the entire time and then the Lanterns going there with relative ease seems like it could cause problems with some tiers. It's from Green Lantern 2023 issues 25-27. Might need to figure something out there because anti-feats become much more harsh the higher you go and I'm sure there's a section of people who are going to mention it.
