Game of Thrones & A Song of Ice and Fire General Discussion

It's a bit iffy given the special nature of Dany's dragons.
I don't remember that being implied in the show other that Dany's dragons growing much faster than the others (Drogon at 6 years old was already 80 meters long while Vhagar at 100 years old was only 90 meters long), which I guess could grant them Accelerated Development

Drogon is 50 meters. He can vary, but he's often 50 and is shown to be so in a reference chart.

Nah, Dany's dragons are stated to be the same size as a Boeing 747 (70.66 meters) during season 7, with Drogon being a 20% bigger than his brothers

Yeah, Matt Shakman said that, but he isn't. He can be measured ON SCREEN as being 50 meters, and he's 50 meters in the HOTD scale chart.

If I'm not wrong statements take precedence over visuals regarding size. And I don't remember any official scale chart of the dragons

For this site, I guess, but Drogon is consistantly not 70 meters, nor is the 747 statement the only one that exists. The HOTD book has a scale chart. He's also 50 meters in the VFX breakdown.

Can you prove that the scale chart is from the book? Likewise, it's completely wrong, using that scale I measured Drogon's lenght at 25 meters, which is his size during season 5-6, plus according to it Meleys is smaller than Drogon when I calculated her length at 42 meters, and Caraxes is even smaller when he has some statements of being half the size of Vhagar, who is 90 meters long

Should the speed of the HotD dragons be "Unknown, likely Hypersonic", like Balerion, or scale directly to the value since a large dragon like Vhagar can keep up with a smaller one like Arrax?

I like that both Sunfyre and Meleys recieve burns from Vhagar. Like in the Book!, the older the dragon, the hotter the fire.

Valyrian steel no sells dragon flame, as it should according to GOT.

I don't see the need for Rhaenys and Meleys to have not hit the ground with Vhagar to be torn apart and burned. I guess there might be a parallel to Rhaenys and Meraxes (whose skull looks to be in the background of Rhaenyra and Jace's conversation), but seems unnecessary and cheaper than the dragon who "might've" been a match for Vhagar alone. We ended up with a sneak attack of all things. At least she got in some damage earlier. The joy I felt seeing boiling hot dragon blood. So cool.

Sunfyre hit the ground hard, with the impact parting the tree line just a bit. Awesome

I think you should use spoiler tags. The last chapter was amazing, I wonder if there are any feats worth calculating

Can you check it pls

I'm planning on making a CRT and I have some questions:
  • In this scene a Child of the Forest was able to rip off the head of a Wight, would that qualify for this LS feat?
  • Here it's stated that the Night King fought and killed many Three-Eyed Ravens, so would it be fine for him and the White Walkers to have resistance to their abilities, specifically Mind Manipulation and Possession? Since otherwise it it wouldn't make sense if any Warg could mind control and stop them
  • Here it's stated that Jaehaerys' dragons, which includes Vermithor, refused to cross the Wall, possibly because of its spells which also prevent the Wights from crossing it, but Daenerys' dragons crossed it without problems, would that qualify for any ability or resistance for them? It's also stated that the dragons are the greatest power in the world, I wonder if that could scale them above something like Wildfire

The Wight are rotten bodies so I don't think so, and if it's an LS feat it might be an outlier

I agree

I agree for the Wildfire scaling, but in the case of Drogon and the Wall it's probably just HotD that seems to retcon this.

Also, I don't agree with the subsonic and hypersonic for the verse:

  • Daenerys who has a Subsonic feat is an outlier because she is an untrained woman who has never fought in her life.
  • The dragons' hypersonic is also an outlier because they were hit by ballistas and spears

People were reduced to ash, with any ash not blown away being indicative of the atomic bomb shadows. There's not really anything to it.

I watched 4 episodes of HOTD. I think Criston Cole should have Social Influencing
(When Aemond arrived on Vhagar. Criston, was able to inspire the warriors, who wanted to escape from the battlefield to go on the attack with his speech)

And his intelligence should be upgraded to Gifted (in terms of warfare) or At least Above Average. He proved himself to be a good commander of army, winning all the battles and capturing new territories and castles for the crown

Also Criston maybe should have Enhanced Vision

In Episode 3 He was able to see the dragon in the high sky. In the beginning, when he was looking at the sky, I tried to see something myself and I couldn't

He saw the dragon before Baela noticed him. When Baela reported to the council that she had seen Criston, Rhaenyra asked her could she see him from such a great height. That is, even when Baela lowered her altitude a little and saw Cole (it was still high), and presumably Cole was able to see her first from a higher altitude (because presumably she was flying even higher before she saw him). Dragon Moondancer is not very big and you can see that there was a cloudy sky. So I think Criston should have likely Enhanced Vision

I agree with Social Influencing and the intelligence, neutral on Enhanced Vision. Btw, I think we should use spoiler tags at least until the season ends in case someone hasn't seen the new episodes yet

Yes, I think it's better to use spoiler tags. And what about intelligence? Which is more suitable for Сriston? At least Above Average or Gifted?

Guys. I think GOT lacks speed feats.
I found a couple of moments
Arya dodges arrow
1:16

Watch on 0,25 speed and frame by frame

And

Ygritte moves in tandem with arrow.
0:13

Watch on 0'25 speed and frame by frame. Maybe it's aim dodging. But it seems to me that Ygritte is moving at the same time as the arrow

Yeah, I guess it would be worth trying to calc those feats
At the moment GOT characters have only subsonic reaction. If these feats turn out to be correct then GOT characters will have subsonic combat and reactions speed?

Maybe, I'm not sure tbh

Looks like aim dodging/reasonable anticipation. It isn't as if a ton of characters fail to evade non lit arrows.

When Crispers McCole gets lit up like a pin cushion, this would look pretty ridiculous. Speed shouldn't be a focus; the focus should be on the guys who can kill horses in one punch.
