Kang No-Eul, who is the female guard from season 2, was also an immigrant who survived escaping from North Korea. I want to avoid talking in great length for obvious reasons, but this video seems quite important for the advanced levels of military training knowledge and stealth master one would need in order to survive something like that. And extensive swimming was basically stated to be something she and Kang Sae-Byuk both had to go through. Also, calling the guards "Kids" is an exaggeration; at worst they're more like late teenagers. And the youngest we seen single guard be was 19 (Which by South Korea's standards, is considered 18 anyone else). When you here someone say "You're just a kid," that's probably just a slang for younger generation; common for people in their 40's to refer to people in their 20's as kids.
Seong was able to pull the guns out of their hands harder than the guards could pull them back. Also, despite the players being heavily outgunned and somewhat out numbered, Seong was able to take out a couple guards on his own. He was also carrying the weight of the rebellion, not just in terms of leadership but also fitness. Which gives the strong impression he is comparable if not superior to Cho Hyun-Ju but season 2 (AKA a Special Forces Veteran). Otherwise, you'd think she'd be the one leading the charge as opposed to Gi-Hun or Jung-Bae. Speaking of which, there were also the fights against Thanos and his group. Thanos is thought to be Season 2's version of Deok Su, and is a street brawler for sure; though I'd argue his friend Nam-gyu takes that cake. Feats in the bathroom brawl are also comparable to some from Deok-Su's gang. Such as breaking necks with bare hands.
Again, if the person wielding the steel bars and pipes are especially strong, then taking hits without broken bones is still a solid durability feat. Also, getting hit in the back and still being able to stand on two feat would still be impressive. Realistically, even if your back wasn't broken, if a big tough gangster gave you a really good thwack with a steel pipe, the sheer fatigue in your back would normally knock the wind out of you and leave you unable to stand or walk. And yes, trained marines/soldiers are indeed among the strongest players, but even ones who aren't those such as the the thugs are often shown to be just as strong.
