Fire Emblem Discussion thread: New Forum, New Mystery of the Emblem

Change of subject, but I really think we should merge the Heroes profiles with the main profiles (ie, put them under 1 key for Heroes), since it causes too much confusion on whether or not Heroes is considered a canon game, even with the note. There really isn't a reason to keep them separated, since Heroes has been established as being a canon game a long time ago.

Also, I don't think the AE Type 2 thing for Heroes is legit, I'm pretty sure it's just referring to the fact that they were summoned as a result of the CYL rite, rather than literally manifesting from the people's wishes. Though it is mentioned Heroes who win CYL are granted a boost in power so Gatekeeper scaling to Thorr is totally legit please I want my Tier 1 Gatekeeper
Yeah, adding a Heroes key at the end of each character's profile actually seems legit. It's much like the Dissidia stuff for Final Fantasy profiles.

I think the game's main flaw is the four hounds are fought too repeatedly.
I don't disagree that it was "Predictable" per say. Alear turning out to be Veyle's sibling was honestly the most predictable part given the "Dragon stone that belonged to her sibling that would break if they died." And each of the Four Hounds also had predictions each; Zephia is the leader in love with King Sombron until her heart was broken, Griss is the total ass whole who is secretly Zephia's mama's boy, Marni is the one who dies first, and Mauvier is the rectruitible one.
There was also the "twist" of Veyle having a split personality, which I thought was the most predictable IMO. My personal gripes with the story come from the rushed arcs of the game, like the entire arc with Mauvier and Marnie.

From the video description: “Veronica's Sync Skill, Reprisal, adds 30% of lost HP to Attack when fighting below full HP”.

Just realized if this is inheritable then I can make Panette even more busted.

Reminds me that FE12 has a lot of gag weapons; like frying pans, janitor tools for weapons, glass weapons, ect.

Every in Universe FE human should have the potential to learn it, but it does require learning a lot of mental gymnastics or being a master translator in order to master it. And in the Tellius games, it's implied even Laguz have potential to learn how to wield magic tomes; look at Lehran/Sephiran for instance.

Yea, Laguz who still have their abilities (have not produced a Branded) simply don't use the weapons of magic Beorc use because their shifted forms are typically just as strong if not better

Opposite is true for any non-Lehran Heron, ofc (he's blessed anyways so he's built different)

Yeah, FE magic feels like say, drawing for us - in that pretty much anybody can learn the basic parts, but the more advanced parts, not so much... some will do better at it than others.
Sounds fair as long as everyone can learn magic I’m fine with it.

I am determined however to make a no mage left behind act in fire emblem.

get it like no child left behind but in FE

Technically, anyone should be capable of using magic. Dimitri, despite being abysmal at magic, and having no prior experience was still able to use Fire on his first try. Miriel also states that pretty much anyone can learn the basics of magic such as wind or fire
Only time I have heard of people basically being unable to use magic outright was Roy in Binding Blade. Eliwood and Hector wanted the next generation to master magic due to having more potential and versatility than typical training with swords or axes. But while Lilina excelled at it, Roy couldn't even learn the basics which is why they had Marcus taught him swordplay instead. Although there is also Ephraim talking with Lyon (2 years ago) in which he mentions "I am no good with tomes; I get bored silly." Though he just said he wasn't good at it and nothing to do with him being incapable of casting magic.

I can't really answer that, also FE has been getting a lot more popular ever since Awakening with Three Houses and Engage further emphasizing that. So "Not as important" isn't really a good reason. But Nintendo and Intelligent systems will do what they feel motivated to do.

Would you be happy though if they make another FE anime?
