Feed Me Your Wretched Anime Suggestions

I will absolutely not be watching the degeneration of my beloved Lord of the Rings.
Fair enough.

This might be a hot take, but I don't think the Peter Jackson movies are  that good of adaptations of the books. Don't get me wrong, they're great movies, but they're way too fast-paced, in my opinion (and yes, I understand how ridiculous it sounds to say that 4 hour long movies are too fast-paced).

The movies are enshrined amongst the greatest movies ever made, and in this household Peter Jackson is a HERO.

Aren't the movies considered better then the books by people who have read and watched both?
I don't know. It probably depends on which you experienced first or which kind of experience you prefer.

I also never said the books were better than the movies, just that I don't the movies are great adaptations of them (which is to be expected, you can't cram these books into three movies without making a ton of changes, and that's fine).
