Introduction

Hello,

This is a new addition being implemented. These threads will be featured 1-2 times a month depending on popularity. The staff behind this small project has created the first matchup, next time the users here will have the option to suggest one participant for the next featured matchup through a poll. This will be explained more in the sections below.

How to Vote For the Next Character
You can vote for the next character to be featured in the upcoming matchup by going to this poll . Some options are already provided, but users have the freedom to add more options if they so choose. Please do not insert duplicate answers as they will not be counted.

Also please remember that when you add an answer to the poll you automatically vote for that answer and once you have voted, you cannot change it. The other character will be chosen by the staff behind this project.

Apparently Zero is higher in AP.

Sora has Time Stop but Zero is immune to that and has resistance to Soul Manipulation. What I see being a problem for Zero here is the fact that Sora can mess with Zero's body and take away the control of his motor functions or other Status Effect Inducements.

Zero on the other hand has a pretty impressive amount of hax as well. He can bypass barriers completely with Titan Breaker (will prove useful against Sora's barriers). His Basho Fans can nullify incoming projectiles (should be useful against Sora's Elemental Manipulation). And he has access to weapons with Absolute Zero properties. Also apparently Zero has a sword that increases in AP the closer he is to death.

All in all, I think Zero has more impressive hax and the fact that he has a bit higher AP should give him the win with high difficulty in my opinion.
 
both fighters can easilly kill eachoather, sora has void manipulation and zero has soul manipulation and matter manipulation. so the question is: would sora be able to erase zero before zero soul screws him/ destroys him at a molecular level ? considering that the animation of warp is pretty much imstataneus, i would say yes, so i think that sora would win
 
I am going to say Sora as well. Since speed is equalized, I dont have to use complicated logic with this one. But the two abilities sora has that will decide this is void manipulation and even though Zero has higher AP, I dont think it matters when Sora has defensive spells like protect, cure or just a plain dodge.

Void Manipulation and Soras more wider range of defensive spells should take this.

Sora will wipe Zero out of existence and end of story Sora with mid high diff has my vote.
 
Just to point out, the "Zero is higher" means "two orders of magnitude". He one shots if it connects

Oh that high? In that case, I will retract my vote for now I want to see what people say about Zero first before I vote concretely Sora I thought it was an arbitrary two or three times stronger, not two times higher in magnitude.
 
Yes, I'm glad we now doing these. :)

Overall I vote Zero due to Time Stop Resistance, Having Time Stop on his own and higher AP overall. Also Salvation hit the nail on the coffin with the other stuff he mentioned.
 
sora has void manipulation, so the AP isn't as important, but holy sheep, that is a HUGE AP advantage, zero could literrally kill sora by breating too hard on him
 
Void manipulation would immediately end the fight in Sora's favor, it's just Zero will kill him via his time stop and higher AP, no stomp here.
 
I don't think AP matters at all here. The characters have hax that make AP irrelevant.

Sora can just teleport away to evade Zero's attacks. Also what is stopping Sora from blinding Zero, or messing with his controls, or just negate some of his powers therefore severely impacting his fight performance?

He can take Zero's Titan Breaker, Basho Fans and Z-Saber away with Gravity Manipulation leaving Zero unarmed and then just erase him from existence altogether and he can't do anything about that.

I'm going for Sora.
 
Even if Zero is resistant to timestop, I dont think that it is indictive of him losing If Sora lost, it will probably because of the other hax Zero has and not time manipulation hax. At least I think so. or just having superior ap. If speed wasnt equalized, wouldnt sora have higher speed?

I think I am now part of the camp that speed equalized, zero hax stomps

If not, sora blitz stomps I guess Zero has my vote. See Dragon and Salvations reasonings why I vote this way.

Even if Sora could use his more defensive spells to tank, I dount he can get past Zero other hax and better experience.
 
It's most certainly not a "hax stomp" when Sora can erase him from existence and tear away his weapons with gravity manipulation.

Hell, I'd honestly say that without time manipulation that Zero loses, and with it he may still lose if he didn't have resistance.

Anyway, grace period starts now.
 
Sora's best bet would be the time stuff to get around the AP advantage, and that, Zero nopes with his own. Gotta go with Zero as well.
 
Teleportation helps Sora get around it.

Also Zero doesn't nope it with his own per say, just resistance.
 
Zero is immune to X's time stop and has his own time stop, so yeah, he does.

Also teleportation isn't anything new in the X series, since they enter the stage by teleporting to it and leave the same way. Plus Cyber peacock, Agile and Sigma can teleport in battle.
 
@Dragon Yes, that's why I said immune to X's Time stop. That's the point, really. Because noping X's time stop is high enough of a resistance feat to Nope Sora's own time-stop.
 
You missed my point.

He doesn't nope with his time stop, but rather he nopes it with his resistance.
