Showa Godzilla was able to toss around kaiju well above his weight, including Zone Fighter kaiju that could weigh as much as Heisei kaiju. So compared to GMK, Showa is easily the stronger Godzilla. On top of that, Showa is much quicker on his feet compared to GMK, and his fighting style is superior. While GMK's Atomic Ray has greater kinetic force, it has a longer charge up time, whereas Showa's Atomic Ray can be fired almost immediately. Showa is also far smarter as well, and has much more experience under his belt than GMK. So Showa should be able to win this after a decent brawl.

Showa's stronger by a vast margin (even ignoring the blatant downplay) and has durability feats way too high for GMK to really do anything about, not to mention he's intelligent enough to exploit GMK's really bad regen when he eventually gets injured.

By feats the kaiju should at least be city level, island level is VERY reasonable by feats as well.

And literally every rebuttal to at least city level is dumb. First Godzilla was city level. Mothra had city level beams shoot her cocoon and she just woke up. Ghidorah showing up was city level. Stuff like that. So how is it an outlier? Like...what? Plus SO many kaiju walk off nukes. Even Gabara did in Godman. And he's irrelevant. I'll show you the planet stuff in another thread, don't wanna take too much of this.
