Everybody Wants to Die 3: Registration/Meta Thread

Backup character (not used now, just template):

Name: Sword

Age: ?

Gender: ?

Theme: Sword Wizard

Appearance: A young androgynous person in a mage robe

Desired Verse: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Nasuverse (preferable Emiya), https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Tensei_Shitara_Ken_Deshita (preferably Master)

Desired Power:

Sword Magic: The set of magics to comprehend, create, and manipulate swords, and from such reach toward the Truth of the Sword. Created all by themselves, they can use it to instantly find any type of swords around them, to instantly understand everything about the swords with their senses, from how they're made and their property, to how they have been used, their techniques and their owner, to create any type of sword out of thin air, to levitate and manipulate them freely at any numbers and strike from any angle, to shoot magic beam and slash from sword, etc...Naturally, since they're the one creating it, they can also create more magic of the same type, with enough research and preparation to do so.

Infinite Sword Dance: A "hidden techniques" ingrained within them, as if they're born with it, of which they freely dance along with myriads of swords surrounding them. This not only allow them to use any type of sword they control, but also increase their stat to the maximum (the stat cap of the tier), as well as elegantly manipulate the sword in a beautiful dance of life and death. With the dance, they also unlock the true potential and "nature" of the sword, allowing them to tapped into their hidden strength.

Charge Power:

Truth of The Sword: Concentrating all their knowledge and comprehension, they forcefully tapped into the impossible endless truth of the sword, and concentrate it into the sword they wield. Their sword will not miss against the target they comprehend, their slash will go through the defense and resistence they understand, and strike fully the entirety of the opponent's existence, as far as they can see. Consequently, they can only strike what they understand, and can miss or be blocked if they don't have the full knowledge of their target.

Searching endlessly for the truth about the sword and themselves, perhap they will gain something after they expend this skill...

huh, now that i think about it im practically only useful as a buffer, and also i forgot i dropped the telepathy for pre-emptive damage reflection

In general, support doesn’t really work for this type of RP, when everyone isn’t on a “Team” with each other. It’s a requirement for you to at least be “independent” from each other, and being independent in an RP mean being able to act out freely what you want to do without restrain.

In other word, to fulfilled that requirement, the situation that you want to act out must come out often, and must not be contrived. Strictly being a support mean you headbutt into these two problem straight on, as generally other player don’t need your help with stat or heal or any other classic supporting type, since generally it’s just much easier to fulfill that need yourself with just getting an ability, than needing another help. We isn’t even in a “Team” with each other either, so the opportunity to help each other is limited to begin with.

The other angle of support I could see though is providing alternative mean unique to yourself (such as being an arms dealer, NPC/Pet dealer, Hax support, etc...)as You don’t necessarily need to be on a team, and you don’t need/required to be “supportive” when other don’t need it. But by that point you already stray far from being a typical support character, heading toward being an independent player with support capability.

In the first one and second one it took well over a hundred replies to get everyone together with several partnerships forming between characters, internal struggles as a group and hopefully it will be more complex this time.

Probably won't be active but

Name: ??? (Codename "X")
Appearance: In suit, without suit
Age: 20s to 30s or something
Gender: Male
Theme: A hitman who fights the supernatural through (mostly) human means. (Modern assassin with minimal supernatural abilities)
Desired Verses: Warhammer 40,000 (Vindicare) and DC Comics (Deathstroke)
Desired Powers:
  • The Perfect Shot: X’s ability to hit the target goes beyond simply having “good aim”, (though he has that too of course). Through attention to detail, X has an uncanny awareness of any and all possible contributing factors that could affect his chance to hit a target. Coupled with his brain’s immense processing speed, this allows him to see all possible results of his actions with potential trajectories appearing before him. Simply putting himself in the best possible position and pulling the trigger is something that comes as easily as breathing. In practice, such a thing entails a “stacking the deck” of favorable outcomes while minimizing bad ones which, in essence, creates a situation where the avoidance of being struck is almost impossible, as the world itself seems to carry the bullet to the target. It also allows for truly miraculous feats to occur, such as a shot that seems to initially miss its mark might ricochet off the nearby wall and strike true or bullets curving in mid-air for seemingly no reason as they pursue them further. Even shots that do miss may produce some favorable result via weaponizing the environment as foreseen by X. This has limits of course, as X can only account for things he’s aware of and the desired outcome has to actually be physically possible. Plus with limited information, his predictions are easy to thwart. Still, should even the smallest possibility of hitting the target exist, it would take the appearance of some unforeseen element for a true “miss” to occur.
(Analytical Prediction, Homing Attack, Instinctive Reaction, Pseudo-Probability Manipulation)
  • Ciel's Equipment

Charge Power:

“Tactical Reload”: X’s trump card. In response to some negative effect such as an unwanted status ailment or even death, X’s body is reset to a prior state as if it had never happened. Furthermore, after this ability is used, it becomes impossible for him to be put under that same condition again. This ability is not passive, but in cases where X is unable to think for himself, such as being dead, unconscious, drugged, etc the power seems to have a mind of its own, acting on his behalf.
(Self-Causality Manipulation, Reactive Evolution)

  • True Name: a B major chord played with clappers or similar instrument, makes up names on the go.
  • Appearance: dis
  • Age: ???
  • Theme: Chaos MAX Shroom
  • Desired Verses: i trust Hl3
  • Desired Powers: Like planned in DMs
  • Charge Power: All according to keikaku

@Overlord775

You get Jesus (Madness Combat) (Obviously type 8 is dictated by me) and Xenagos (Planeswalker key, and for those about to have an aneurism, the concept manip only works against abstract beings like MTG gods and the exact effects aren't known). Powers are Natura +20 (Just Natura stuff, meaning no standard Gnosis powers, and the direct fate fuckery limited to what Natura +10 can do) and The Witching Hour (Mark of Torment restricted)

Charge Power:
  • Samhain: The Thirteenth Hour, when the moon waxes red and the borders between worlds are closer than ever. In an ever-expanding area of influence, the dead walk among the living and vice versa, the past and future converge into present, and the laws of the universe are thrown into chaotic disorder. Life and death become trivial, relative things, only meaning much after the world rights itself.

Name: Gornack
Appearance: Human, otherwise TBD
Age: 18 in rengles (whatever rengles means here being unknown)
Gender: Male
Theme: Cosmic minimum wage worker
Verses: Marvel Comics (Spider-Man (Marvel Comics), hopefully everything including cosmic Spider-Man and optional equipment/ suits with the exception of the power nullification, the automatic electricity manipulation, the part of matter manipulation which turned the crane into glass, the deconstruction and any potentially one hit kill means of dura negation I’ve missed), Dante (Devil May Cry) (DMC 3 key with regeneration and royal guard restricted)
Powers:
Eternal Salaryman:

Just as there is an eternal champion, Gornack’s presences places a new fundamental aspect of reality which he embodies upon the very function of the universe (despite this platonic existence being rather weak), creating the ultimate minimum wage worker. With this power he is ensured a mild form of immortality via the concept of the minimum wage worker attempting to protect its physical manifestation (Mid regen to the level of being rendered a skeleton, all self-sustenance types and immortality type 2 to the level of being rendered a bloody pulp) and the ability to create contracts with even other aspects of creation. He can “take the shift”, so to speak, of abstract phenomena, having himself function as those fundamental laws for a certain target so these laws no longer exist for the target without his intervention. In practice he summons small, purple orbs he can move at will (scaled to his speed) which either land on the target or, if the effect is specified to be focused around a particular area, expand outwards.
Gravity: Features of gravity don’t exist for the target unless Gornack pushes them to the earth. They will appear to have the planet move away from them at a maximum speed of 30 km/s, limited by the stat amp cap. This effect wears off after 2 minutes.
Change: An amount of change does not exist for the target unless Gornack puppeteers the target, in practice it slows down a target to an extent determined by the statistics reduction cap, or effectively stop time in sphere of 2 m^2. These effects wear off after 2 minutes.
Evolution: Applies a kind of evolution to himself so that his speed, lifting strength and AP are brought up 500 times (although this is lowered due to the amp cap) and can “asexually reproduce” to create perfect clones of himself (only 20 can exist at a time and 20 can be created instantly).
Sensory Data: A target hit will only see things in terms of Gornack. They will only hear things as if Gornack is speaking them, only see discernible objects as different sizes of Gornack striking up different poses and only feel, taste and smell things as lots of tiny Gornack’s punching their tongue or nose (etc for extra senses); although only at most 3 senses are affected for each time this attack is used on a target. This effect wears off after 2 minutes.

Hyperspace:

Due to his nature as the eternal salaryman, Gornack is in touch with the dynamical system of capitalism, the time axis which connects results of consumerism together through an odd cause an effect system. If he is touching a product sold within a capitalist framework or a licensed establishment associated, he can instantly travel to any other object he chooses following the same description across the multiverse. Additionally, he can fold this dimension, allowing him to switch the position of one of these object he is touching (and anything it has inside or touching it in the case of a building) with another (although this is limited to a universal, and therefore mostly planetary range).

Charge Power:
Managerial Position:

Gornack isolates a space of 30 metres in radius and transforms it into a pocket reality which follows his rules. Within this space he can bend space so attacks against him won’t hit and also turn the space into a fractal by summoning what appears to be a miniature model of the area (there is an infinite amount of smaller spaces and larger spaces instead of just one).

Verses: The Legend of Zelda (Preferably Triforce of Power Ganondorf with restrictions as necessary. The immortality isn't even remotely combat applicable and the Dark World stuff doesn't apply because it's not the right key for that. Also no Twilight Magic.), Devil May Cry (Preferably Sparda or Mundus with Demon World energy shit restricted, and Yamato's spatial cutting in the case of Sparda (not the other stuff though, since that's not all it does))

Powers:

Contract Keeper
: An ability that Aleia has gained as an adaptation to the circumstances of this world. Allows her to forge mutual contracts with targets, these contracts being capable of granting various boons, including power and abilities. The contracts have to be agreed to on both sides, either verbally or in written form, to become established. Once agreed to, a contract is enforced on both sides and is nigh-impossible to break, even if broken, this has a consequence on the one breaking it, varying on the specific contract. This can be something as simple as severe pain, to something more severe such as immediate death or the like. By accepting the contract, both the user and the target “consent” to being affected by the benefits, downsides and the consequences of breaking it, thus making resistance moot against it once it is established. If a contract is somehow “removed” entirely, rather than simply broken, all its effects will cease, including the benefits it would’ve granted. The contracts can, at the discretion of the user, create a mark on the target indicating that a contract has been made, however this is not something necessary to it.

Contracts may also be forged with objects in her possession, potentially altering them and making them not work for others, or only work for select individuals. As objects are not sentient, she can impose these on them with solely her own will, though it takes time and thus cannot be directly used in battle.

Demon Goddess: A power that is the result of Aleia beginning to regain the abilities she once held in her original world. Due to her status, Aleia is not affected by things that target demonic, unholy or other types of beings specifically, or are especially effective on her for whatever reason, being treated as any other kind of being for such things, as her status is above these abilities. Her status as Goddess also allows her a great degree of power over her lesser kind, being able to rewrite them to suit her whims more, altering or adding new aspects to them entirely. Her status applies especially to her territory, making her powers entrenched more strongly there, being significantly more difficult to interfere with or peel away, as if it was simply their nature to be there, which causes them to naturally replenish themselves if something interferes with them. Finally, her energy gains a corruptive nature, enabling her to make things “demonic” through affecting them with it.
