@Oliver_de_jesus
The man scratches his chin, thinking.
"Depends on who ya ask. Media types will say... August 24th, I think. But we don't actually know who the first people were, or exactly where they were, so not knowing when is kind of agiven. The 24th is just when it became an immediate issue in the Philippines."
@CrimsonStarFallen
Once the smoke clears, the thing gives Matricardo an odd face, as though simultaneously very confused and trying to keep the appearance of being very mad, having its left hip blown open, with more vines emerging from it and wrapping around the area.
"... to some extent, although it's more the other way around: I am the spirit of this nature itself, fueled by the atrocities committed against it!"
The low trembling of an oncoming storm can be felt from all around.
"However, there are...
much more vile actions being undertaken at this very moment, and it is not as though you alone could save anyone."
With that, the thing quickly turns and begins moving roughly north-east, not running, but more gliding along the ground itself.
@Paul_Frank
Serafall's light, predictably, has little effect, as the majority of the guards still capable of some movement, meaning not instantly incapacitated from shock, yell and crawl away. She can hear a great number of footsteps approaching her from several directions.
@ZephyrosOmega
Having been heading towards the capital, seeing more or less untouched landscapes and even settlements along the way, Beijing is a no-mans-land. While seemingly far from any coastlines, with a distinct lack of the type of damage seen in Nuuk being clear, the area is a scorched wasteland battered by unnaturally continuous lightning strikes and sulfurous fires. There isn't even anything that can be identified as an actual building and not just non-specific concrete rubble.
@WHYNAUT
Vie is instantly flooded with an immense wealth of information, most inconsequential. The place she's below is a rather populated metropolitan area, with a few tends of thousands in her local square kilometer alone. Most of them are rather paranoid, the rest not really giving much mind to whatever the issue is or being physically incapable of processing it, in the case of children. Several larger sounds can be felt moving by, specifically cars, although most are somewhat run-down and dirty.
@Listentomyrhytm
The leading man, even more flustered than before, prepares to say something... but simply stops after the first sound, as though suddenly realizing something.
"So you're with Reaver?"
He asks in a considerably more calm tone.
@ThisThingisReallyBroken
[what beam of light are you talking about]
@Andykhang
The man tugs at his sleeves for a second before starting.
"Well, uh... I think a few months back, in August, some weird fungal infection spread around Japan really quickly, and went from there. Most places got it to some extent, seemingly from people coming from Japan, but eventually cases started happening everywhere independent of that, apparently from contaminated sea and drinking ater. I don't know exactly what it does, and it's probably not particularly pleasant. The UN's been putting up these pretty expensive water treatment systems in most cities to make the water drinkable."
He takes a sip from a water bottle he had with him.
"I swear, the tap tastes better these days."
He nervously chuckles.
@The_Divine_Phoenix
The man visibly tenses at Aya's response.
"That's really ******* bad, pardoning my language. There've been sudden reports of unusual individuals across the world in the last few hours, none matching the ones we dealt with before."
He clears his throat before answering Aya's question.
"Other than last-known locations, not at all. Considering their capabilities and the fact that most are about human-sized, actually tracking them would be functionally impossible, even disregarding their outright scientifically impossible capabilities. Back on the topic of the rest of your group, did any of them appear outright malicious?"
@Lou_change
About three kilometers inland, Sam finds a rather well-preserved back half of what was once a large hospital.
@lake gang
[I feel the need to note that the black material is floating on top of the water and the lake is clearly less than fifteen meters deep at most, just in case no one actually read my previous posts]
