I don't think they are capable of that. They can buff Eragon's mind hax, but they can't mind hax on their own.

Mind hax and death words are almost instantaneous. Activating the time stone needs a few seconds, BFR Eragon in the mirror dimension can be reversed by mind controlling strange.

I have no idea how Eragons wards and strange other magic attacks or portals interact.

They are capable of this. Eragon and Saphira have been mindprobed by the collective mind of the Eldunari, when they found them and at the battle between Galbatorix and Eragon they fought of the mad dragons individually.
