Dragon Ball Super Illusion Resistance

Ok, very simple addition.

Basically, Ultra Instinct makes illusions basically useless.

As such, I'd say that Goku (for his Ultra Instinct -Sign- Key) and Whis should get Resistance to Illusions. Beerus should recieve the same thing but with 'Possibly', due to the fact that we don't know his exact level of Ultra Instinct.

Why does it make illusions useless?
Because Ultra Instinct makes it so that the user doesn't have to think to fight anymore and their body will react on it's own to threats.

EX: Character X is fighting MUI Goku. He makes an illusion where there are 50 of him and has them charge Goku while he'd hiding among them. Due to Ultra Instinct, Goku is not going to react to any of the illusory copies, as they're not actually threats and can't hurt him. He will however react to the real X.

Basically, Ultra Instinct makes it so that Goku wouldn't need to mentally sort through the illusion that attempting to fool him and instead can subconsciously and instinctively pick out the true threat.

What if the body's senses are tricked? Goku might not need to think, but his senses aren't immune to manipulation.

I don't think that would work, or at least, it would have to be case by case. Mainly because Ultra Instinct is described as working at a subconcious level. The subconcious is not fed by any of your senses or perceptions, even though it exerts influence on your actions.

Also, just throw this out there, part of the reason I'm bring this up is because our descrptions for Ultra Instinct and how it works bring up that illusions don't work on those who can utilize it.

If we decide that this isn't the case or something, we'll have to remove that part of the descrption.

Unless it's shown in the series, then Goku gets it. Illusions don't only trick the mind but they can trick all 5 senses.

pretty sure there are illusions that make even your body feel things, which could trick his body or illusions that feel like the aspects of reality are changed too.

resistance to it is reasonable since the common mental illusions may not work on him, but straight immunity is a NLF

Unless there's proof, it shouldn't be assumed that UI makes illusions vanish.

The OP doesn't say it makes illusions vanish, Goku's body would ignore them. He'd see them but his body would fight on his own.

Goku should probably get resistance to Illusions that work purely off of vision and maybe stuff like illusionary smells; it'd take illusions that trick all of his senses to throw off Ultra Instinct.

So yeah, Goku should resist basic level Illusions and such.

It's not technically the same as seeing through illusions, but Vs Threads should still note that basic visionary illusions should inherently not work on characters with Instinctive reactions. Instinctive reactions can basically be summarized as the ability to fight in their sleep. But stuff like "Full Perception Manipulation on all senses" would be a big no.

Given the way things are going, how about adding a 'Minor' to the Resistance? Since, if we say that Instinctive Reaction means that Goku won't fooled by visual illusions but other kinds are a different story, he's obviously not resistant to illusions in general.

Also, backing up what Antoniofer and DarkDragonMedeus have state, there's a point that Goku fights Jiren with his eyes closed. I think that's enough to back up that Goku doesn't need his eyes to fight.
