Obviously, not just anyone can be a demon clansmen, otherwise frezia would have been evil enough to be one, and there's no indication of that well Cell is one- sense his kills were stuck in limbo (being the reason why they had to get new dragonballs) given the new reveal about namicans, and that all demon clansmen we know are descended from demons at the very least maybe you need a Demon bloodline? Like a tifling from dnd sorta thing?

would....would he? like, how does one measure Evil to know if King Piccolo is more or less evil than Frieza?

when is this stated? they got new Dragon Balls because they had lost the ones made from kami when he fused with Piccolo

Maybe It was anime only, but I do recall it and there being a ghostly image of limbo from the anime going with it

As for frezia..I mean kinda he shows more acts of sadism them frezia relishing in multiple genocides, where as in the manga at least the worst he actually dose is abandon the pilot gang after they free him, if you took any attempt to quantify evil by any metric, I can not imagine the evil king Piccolo matching up to frieza's galactic tyranny.

I've started a watch through of Z starting just before Cell is introduced, I should find that statment if it exists, then I'll check the manga, tho if it wasn't anime only I imagine someone else would have already noticed it's absence

A bit late, but I really liked this opening episode! The animation looks clean af, and I'm really excited as to where they take the Demon Realm compared to something like Heroes. Solid 8/10.

Not sure where people were getting infinite universes from, though; I just thought they were different access points in the 12 universes.

Ya it probably is though the notion of it being separate from the 12 universes is interesting.

Eh, it seems a bit too early to be making any assumptions about the cosmology from episode 1. Like, yeah, it could be a separate space connecting an infinite number of universes...or it could just be a fish with a bunch of portals lol. Not saying it's impossible, but seems unlikely with what all we know in-canon.

I ment it's probably just a bunch of portals, but the use of outside dose still imply the Demon realm is separate.

Fair enough, I suppose that's still reasonable with regards to what we know about the Canon Cosmology.
I feel like it's just a moment of excitement and the urge to eat and consume every new morsel of knowledge we gain. Plus, Toriyama's Demon Realm lore we're seeing was literally the blueprint of Online, Heroes, XV, etc. and likely Divers, since we see in the new Final Chapter that Beat leads the new Divers protag into an arena, showing they're the same world and continuity. That matters because Toriyama's original lore is the foundation of everything crazy you see in that series. From their infinite universes to their Demon People. If Toriyama's idea for the cosmology when asked was an infinite multiverse, then it's not crazy to think "Maybe Toriyama is putting his ideas into the main story?"

He probably isn't as far as we know, given how Towa wasn't mentioned at all in the first episode, and she's Dabura's sister. (Meaning she should be in conversation for threats against Gomah, or ruling.) But it does at least make sense for people to freak out and check every angle, since well, it's new and exciting! Theorycrafting is just fun to do as the series comes out. Though I do agree that the response has been shark-jumpy, such as immediately diving into Infinite Universes when it's made pretty clear that (for now) those are access points across the 12 Universes, I strongly feel as it's just basking in the high of new Toriyama content and lore, and that cooler heads will prevail as they typically do in terms of scaling.

All that said, INFINITE UNIVERSES, RAAAGH, INFINITE SIZE COSMOLOGY AND HYPERTIMELINES, GT IS GONNA BE CANON, RAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

It should be said

The gaint fish dosen't contain the hall of portals, it's a portal to a second location, you can see them vanish when they enter the thing inside it.

Yeah, when they enter that golden door inside the fish you see them disappear like golden dust.

Now the argument that other kingdoms are in the same space-time has been definitively refuted, it's really funny that CRT where it says that the afterlife is in the same space-time as the living Universe, lol

Tbh i'd like if sayins had heritage in the Demon relam, it could open up new possibilities in the future for forms for different characters.
Piccolo and Goku: Wait we both share some extremely distant ancestor that makes us closer related to it then anything on this planet? (Earth)

Maybe the Oozaru came from the makai kingdom, since he has pointy ears like a demon or it could be that the saiyajins has evolved from a Oozaru primitive who ended up marrying a human ( just theory really )

I’d prefer the Saiyans not be demons honestly. I feel like them being Demons kind of undermines their Sci-Fi allegory for JTTW. Instead of Goku being a clever recreation of Sun Wukong via a different lens (“The Orb came from the sky” turns into a orb-like ship from space, the Oozaru is a reference to when Wukong became a giant, etc.) he’s just literally a Demon Monkey. I think it just runs counterintuitive to what Toriyama made.

I’d rather it solely be Piccolo’s development to further parallel how Goku himself has a “true far away origin.” (Which was originally supposed to be him being a Namekian, but I don’t mind him doubling up).

The idea isn't that there demons, but that they have demon ancestory, goku killed frezie and it's said in the manga those killed by demons can't be revived by angels.

They're intentionally keeping information about the Demon Realm vague for the time being, but some snippets.

Supreme Kai said that there's no way to teleport to the Demon Realm. Kibito can't teleport to the Demon Realm and normal spaceships can't reach there. Need a special ship that Glorio uses.

There's mention of a king of the Third Demon World.

Other non-cosmology snippets is that Supreme Kai originally came from there, Nameks as well. Majins slipped out of the Demon Realm.

That supports the World Tree Core being the thing we saw in the trailers theory. Which also confirms what is heavily implied in SDBH, whose lore was established by Toriyama. So it REALLY seems like they’re putting the pieces together.

So how outer does this make Goku
