@Repp Because, iirc, all the celebies are aware of the rest of the copies and killing one doesnt make other celebies disappear. This happened in the movie iirc.
I covered this on the last thread. You're remembering it wrong.
I'm going to copy-paste from the last thread because I am not rewriting it.
The scene where dozens of other Celebi come to revive the movie's Celebi disregards one key fact: there is more than one Celebi. As shown in the movie series that this feat was taken from, a different Celebi appeared in Zoroark: Master of Illusio, and Bulbapedia (which does extremely extensive research on the subject) states that "many other Celebi from past and future came to heal their friend." in the scene this logic is taken from. Thus I don't believe it was summoning its alternate selves at all.
Celebi was saved by its friends in the past and future. It didn't magically revive itself.
-Spirits of the forest from the future and the past can time travel as well.
-Must have sensed that their friend was in danger and came to help.
Just one thing, if we consider each celebi independent, be it from the future or the past, each alternative celebi independent of the rest. Calling them "friends" doesnt imply by any means that they arent the same pokemon but from an alternative time.
But okay, I can see what you mean.
One thing: Celebi can time travel without becoming a paradox-machine. So that is something. HG/SS as proof, for example.
Occam's Razor. With the same dataset, always take the conclusion with the fewest number of assumptions.
We're aware of the existence of multiple Celebi since they appeared throughout the series. It's less troublesome and more logical to assume that they came to help Movie Celebi than to assume that Celebi's past and future selves came to revive its present self.
