Does annihilation count as existence erasure?

If a guy were to use an attack that completely erases all the matter composing his opponent, even the elementary particles, would he have EE?

That would be matter manipulation to some degree, but existence erasure usually entails that the target's soul and consciousness also cease to exist.

Existence erasure, is making a object or subject simply vanish from existence, as it never existed in first place.

Well, alternatively. The essence of that being is just moved to non-existence, implies something differently than most people might think.

DMUA is right. Existence erasure should not only annihilate the target's material being but also their soul/spirit/whatever so that all hopes of them being reincarnated or passing on into an afterlife are also gone.

As for erasure of a target from all timelines and to make it so that they never existed at all and cannot be brought back by wishing for it or some such stuff, that is some higher level existence erasure.
