Disney Discussion Thread

I checked out the new Disney+ Inside Out series, and TBH it settles that everything in Riley's mind is simply tier 11 (coexisting with dreams and so on). Technically one could also argue for Riley being 1-A, but given this is all portrayed as a mundane superiority every sentient character in the series has, it'd simply fall as tier 11 instead given precedents (more specifically what I saw happen with KH on that regard).

Speaking of Disney... Let's talk about the Disney series with arguably the most blatant confirmations of a lot of the classical Disney universes sharing the same universe canonically: Sofia the First

It blatantly shows that Hercules, Aladdin, Snow White, Cinderella, Tangled, Frozen, Mulan, and a good few others are a part of the same verse. I want to create a profile for them, but there is a lot of lore implications, with arguably one of the most important ones being the Mystic Isles. The Mystic Isles is the source of all magic period , so it has huge ramifications scaling wise considering the Crystalmaster directly scale to said Magic as they are responsible for placing the Crystals of each Isles that are the source of said magic, and Vor was effortlessly able to give one of the Antagonists the power of a Crystalmaster.

Does it change much ? Not really. Vor is consistently regarded as the greatest and strongest evil in the World's history, with it being consistently regarded that no one even remotely comes close. As a result, No one would really scale to her directly [except Sofia's Light of Goodness and the Amulet of Avalor's Magic respectively).

I think that StF would fall under one-sided crossover as I don’t think it’s ever been officially recognized in the main canon or in any of the films’ proceeding material but you’re right in that there’s a lot of ground to cover regarding that series.

More often than not unfortunately, but thankfully it is the same company creating StF that created those series so we can safely assume it's an equal equivalent of those versions (aka, as you said, one-way canon, the shows/movies are canon to StF , but StF is not canon to the shows)

Kinda helps with creating a profile for how Magic works in StF since they recently said they're making a series focusing on Sofia learning Magic at the school, so I'll wait for that to come out so I can deal with that all at once.

Agreed on that front. I wish something like that existed for the main canon to help establish magic rules for the verse.

Good News!

A while ago i requested @Demon_Lord18, a friend of mine, to calculate some feats from the Roger Rabbit shorts

Here's the results:

We now have new City level+, Multi-City Block level and Hypersonic feats for Classical Era Disney. Given how other Toons such as Mickey, Goofy and Donald are expected to tank the same kind of damage, these feats should apply to them as well.

Beyond that, a while ago i've started to work on a new profile for Roger:

The profile is pretty much complete. My only remaining doubt is: Should Roger's AP scale to his Durability? I don't think so, but i would like to see your opinions on the topic

Why's mexico so close to California on the map?

My thoughts on this.

I think we can get away with a “possibly” for City level classical shorts since Toons are indeed expected to endure this level of punishment in their cartoons, and Roger is portrayed as basically your average toon in the movie. Admins might be suspicious considering that we don’t have any concrete ways of directly scaling the other Disney characters to Roger, so that’s why the possibly would be important.

Not sure if we can scale Roger’s speed to them but Donald already carries the classic verse with his two massively hypersonic feats, so that’s alright.

Now, for Roger’s AP and Durability, I would say that this is indeed the case. Roger is able to repeatedly hurt himself and say it causes him “no pain”.

"Roger wasn't distracted because a refrigerator had been dropped on his head. He was a Toon, and Toons could take anything"

Imo, we have enough evidence for the same applying to almost all Toons

At the very least it should be a "likely" rating, but i will continue to support a full-rating

Yeah, we don't have enough evidence to do so and vice versa

Of course! Had forget about these sadomasochistic moments of Roger

The only wonky thing is that this could be also referring to their elastic nature or their Immortality Types 2, 3, and 4. They do definitely have insane levels of durability, but those aren’t all the factors in why they can “take anything”.

That being said, it is still a factor and I think a likely rating is definitely possible, and if they take 7-B just straight up, then I’ll be all for it as it’s very close to the highest feat in the next era.

In the quote i sent above, the statement is referring to how Roger's Toon nature makes something that should normally harm a human (A refrigerator dropping on your Head) don't affect Roger at all. Making a parallel between his Toon Physiology and his physical durability

I suppose that works.

Trying this out separately from the bigger Mickey page revamp just so we don't get cluttered with the controversial change first.

I was going to publish my Roger's page revamp by tomorrow, guess i will have to wait for your thread to finish

How many CRts do you expect to be made for the additions we have been discussing?

Btw, what about AE and the Fate Manipulation we discussed earlier? Are still thinking on making CRTs for these proposals?

Just one other. The changes are pretty self-explanatory and are just reorganizing tiers and new stats.

Maybe, but we don’t have enough info for fate. It’s only implied. And AE will probably be discussed in the thread. If it’s not we can more closely do that in the main Disney revamp thread.

I believe I’m just about done with Mickey’s profile.

Does anyone have any questions or contentions?
Since i'm annoying i would like to point out a couple of things:
  1. High 5-A is called "Brown Dwarf level" rather than "Brown Dwarf Star level"
  2. The space between the Relativistic+ and the FTL rating is lacking a "|"
  3. Asking this again: How exactly we will handle Scrooge scaling to Darkwing Duck? Will we comment it on the CRT that will revise Mickey's profile and then upgrade the former?
  4. I'd recommend you linking the wiki's elephant profile on the Class 10 rating explanation
  5. Add Resistance to Madness Manipulation to him
Otherwise, everything looks fine

Will you handle the proposal for Universal AP on another thread, given the topic's likely controversial nature?

Regarding the material considered canon, here is a compilation of what we discussed the possibility of being part of the Main Continuity:
  • Saludos Amigos + The Three Caballeros: Obviously canon, although we don't address them on the current verse page, introduces Zé Carioca and Panchito
  • Mickey Mania: Extremely consistent with the Actors Canon + References several Mickey Mouse media, such as Steamboat Willie and The Prince and the Pauper
  • The Three Musketeers: Stated to be canon on The Art of Epic Mickey book
Anything more?

I’ll fix those two when I have my laptop.

This will be on the CRT. Basically, just listing “comparable to Launchpad” on Scrooge’s profile which shouldn’t be controversial. I would prefer someone do some research on DuckTales before the change though. That’s basically the big thing we’re waiting on before the big Disney revision.

True.
Oh, right. I forgot.

Yes, that’s for another thread. It sounds way too complicated to tackle right now anyways.

Also, yes. This all looks good.

Btw, could i try the 7-B Scaling for Base Mickey on my future Roger Rabbit Thread? If i do so it will be one less problem to deal on the franchise's next threads and reworks
Yeah, go ahead. I don’t think it should be too complicated. I’m thinking on maybe giving up on High-Godly. Sucks that we don’t have it but we don’t need it for the major additions to go through.

There isn't a Pixar thread so I'm guessing Pixar stuff can also be discussed here, sorry for the yap if not.
So I'm planning a revision for Cars on the wiki. So far I've been working on Lighting's canon and game profile. I'll prob make canon and game profiles for Mater after I make the crt for Lighting's. In the crt I want to establish all the games as canon to each other (besides a few games like Daredevil Garage which clearly don't take place in the Cars universe). The main thing I want is to see if I can get Cars a higher AP and Speed rating. I calced McQueen surviving re-entry at over 17000 mph but it can't be used since he fell into water.

Unironically because the original Alice in Wonderland got accepted as Low 1-C for R>F prior to the Tiering Revisions, if we prove that Disney Alice's Wonderland is real we could have 1-A Alice (which is true for some depictions of Disney's Wonderland, but whether those are canon and apply to the film's canon is up in the air) .

Unfortunately, I only think that would disprove R>F. In House of Mouse, characters from Alice’s dream show up in reality without a reason.

Decided to stop bitching and finally publish the CRT

Here it is folks, Tier 7 Classical Disney

And now, to finish it off.

sup. overhauling the POTC profiles since they suck.

i started with jack.
(laughs in Monkey Island; wonder what kind of "haxes" LeChuck'll get in a upcoming blog fight with those words)

by this point it'd be really funny if Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was the one with cosmic feats (Baby Looney Tunes has constellation feats after all)
You're sort of right, both times (and consistent too; one comment suggests FTL).
