I loved your post, Dark. So inspirational. I'm crying tears of soy right now. Tears of soy. But that begs one question...is Jay Goede or Dan Green the Mewtwo of our childhoods?
 
Jay Goede, I think. Fun fact, he got banned from Wikipedia at one point, for claiming he was the voice actor for Mewtwo since he went uncredited. It didn't get sorted out until fairly recently.

@Dragon. Was Next 0rder dubbed? I haven't picked it up yet. Guilmon without that adorable voice just seems wrong.
 
Yeah, Next Order is dubbed. And good Lord that deep voice for Guilmon and not the adorable voice scared me....

It happened to me for Cyber Sleuths Gallantmon. I was so used to hearing Goku come out of Gallantmon, that when I heard that his voiced dropped over the years, I was in shock.
 
Well to be fair, his dub voice was supposed to be a mix of Guilmon and Takatos voice, it wouldn't make sense to keep that voice in other incarnations. I was surprised by how deep Leopardmons voice was, though.
 
I meant in the sub when it came to Gallantmon.

I imagined Leopardmon to have that rich prick voice. I can only picture Crusadermon as female tho.
 
I they wanted voices that would match all versions most likely . Think that version of Guilmon was discribed as smart and stoic in magaziens.
 
I loved Terriermon in the dub,

"Buns, and beans and sauerkraut, I'm gonna eat till I pass out!"

These are some of the Sub names I like better than the dub.

MegaloGrowmon over WarGrowlmon (I usually put the "l" at the end of "Grow" tho as Growmon sounds even more lame then Growlmon)

Duftmon over Leopardmon (I dunno why. Leopardmon sounds to generic for a Royal Knight. And then there is the fact that he's a lion not a leopard)

Garmmon over KendoGarurumon (Garmmon sounds cooler to me)

Vritramon over BurningGreymon (Vritra sounds cooler to me)

Yatagaramon/Yatakaramon over Crowmon. (Self-explanatory)

Yggdrasil over King Drasil
 
I prefer Lilithmon over Laylamon, Bastemon over Persiamon or Beastmon, KaiserGreymon over EmperorGreymon, AtlurKabuterimon over MegaKabuterimon, and Plotmon over Salamon. Just a few off the top of my head.
 
Well Lilithmon is well Lilithmon and Laylamon in the dub.

I prefer Salamon because Plotmon sounds weird.
 
The name Salamon actually has backstory tho. It's pretty funny. Also, the name doesn't need meaning to sound better.

"Salamon is thought to be named after one of the producers of the Digimon Adventure English Dub, Terri-Lei O'Malley's, pet cat because an alternative Dub name wasn't decided and they came up with the name before they actually saw Plotmon, assuming that it was cat-based like Tailmon."
 
For the dub I prefer Gatomon over Tailmon, "Vee" over "V-", Gallantmon over Dukemon, Lobomon over Wolfmon, Kazemon over Fairymon, and Myotismon ovee Vandemon ti name a few.

Laylamon is the Xros Wars dub name. And is basically the only dub media that uses Laylamon. Everything else goes with the original Lilithmon.
 
because lilithmon is sooooo bad as a name? I mean, which kid could relate lilith to the religious meaning?

Furthermore, I got my Champion Digimon and I'm happy. Togemon, Angemon, Tyrannomon, Gargomon, Seadramon, and soon, either Ikkakumon, Peckmon, or Kyubimon.
 
Holy shit you are at Champion levels already. Good job. Do not go with Peckmon though. Its Mega form Ravemon is not in the game.
 
QueenChessmon. Reminds me of one of my best friends, so I always use it in my team when she's available. Which is...only Dawn/Dusk sadly.

Next up: PrinceMamemon, Beelzemon, GaruruGreymon, Gallantmon and Boltmon are all pretty great.
