Well you never gave an explicit vote. People including myself argue for characters all the time while intentionally postponing a legitimate vote.

that is true

It probably is, given how glados is large and all.

This ignores how a lot more than glados was destroyed in that explosion.
Diavolo isn't causing an explosion. He just needs a few well-placed punches and she's scrap-metal.

Neurotoxins irl don't take very long, and she killed the entire facility fast enough that nobody got to shut her down despite them standing at the same computer that could do just that. Using the time it takes Chell to die is rather inaccurate, for a couple outside factors:
Wouldn't it be OOC for GLADOS to immediately kick on the neurotoxins against a new potential test subject?

If GLaDOS is able to kill the people standing next to the computer that could shut her down with neurotoxins before they could actually shut her down, then she should be able to kill Diavolo before he can destroy her body.
Before it fills the whole room, the gas is quite visible. King Crimson allows him to avoid it, or exit if he's aware he can't avoid it through breaking walls.

GLaDOS would use the neurotoxin because SBA says that both people know they're in a fight and are trying to kill.

It's able to kill people very fast, as Wokistan mentioned. It's also able to fill the entire facility before the staff could shut her down.

Due to only being a few punches she's fine, because Glados is a program and can just go elsewhere. Chell's fight blew up a ton of the facility which was responsible for the other issues.

First thing she did when she was turned on was gas everyone. Apparently was a consistent thing for her, what with the scientists being like "yeah we had to shut her off within a sixteenth of a picosecond because she was already murdery". Nothing says diavolo's a test subject, she'll kill him just kile she killed everyone else.

The issue is, by the time you can see a gas like that it's already too late.

Even in a traditional "fight" GLaDOS still tunes down the neurotoxins. You're thinking of bloodlust.

Obviously not the entire facility given Ratman. Considering King Crimson can just bulldoze through walls and make Diavolo immune to the neurotoxin for 10 seconds at a time, he could very well find an easy escape after trashing GLaDOS.

When has she migrated her AI to another location in the facility, after her core was ripped apart?

She kept numerous people alive as test subjects which died over time. She only killed the scientists immediately because she was aware they had access to a kill-switch on her and needed to kill them before that. She wouldn't be aware of King Crimson.

Not really the case in-game.

Happened in P1, but enough of the facility was destroyed that her backup was damaged too. She was conscious the entire time though, describing how she spent all that time reliving her final moments.

Okay but she has her stores of humans and her robot test subjects too. This is a fight, there's no reason for her to keep him around.

Already addressed the gameplay stuff

Neurotoxins irl don't take very long, and she killed the entire facility fast enough that nobody got to shut her down despite them standing at the same computer that could do just that. Using the time it takes Chell to die is rather inaccurate, for a couple outside factors:

  • In P1, the neurotoxin generators are specifically said to not be running at full efficiency probably due to not being used for super long amounts of time, and need some time to warm up
  • In P2 against wheatly, you specifically sabotaged the neurotoxin long before in the game (along with it being a backup generator) and the room's integrity has been breached anyways, meaning that a lot of the gas can escape.
  • In an alternate route in P2, you can get tricked by Glados into entering a room that's supposedly outside then get killed instantly by neurotoxin. This further supports that Chell not dying instantly in the other cases is due to outside influence and not a resistance or the poison being bad.

Wdym "her backup was damaged too"? She was capable of surviving due to a blackbox, not because she had an entirely separate core she could move to if her main body is destroyed.

She's a ******. She doesn't kill people that efficiently unless she's aware of how much of a threat they are. KC would certainly pique her curiosity and shift her objective to keeing Diavolo alive longer than what she would need to win.

Fair point on the gameplay though. Epitath + King Crimson's ability should alert him of it prior to it reaching and killing him, though.
