Devil May Cry Discussion Thread 10

Btw I managed to finish 3 and well... Royal guard is Hard AF against Vergil in the third phase.
Told ya.

For my personally I have like 500hrs there or more to the point I was a God playing, then I growth up and now I'm getting reckt by the hell vanguard on DMD mode.

That's good and all but have any of you actually defeated Vergil with the kick Dante makes when he jumps and gets back to the ground? I did it in DMD mode and till this day it's my greatest accomplishment in DMC3 (besides royal guarding his ass but that's easy with a lot of practice)

All of you using inferior styles. Trickster is the master race.
Laughs in Royal Guard

Yeah, that style will totally shit on Vergil, pretty much deals massive damage and be stylish while standing your ground.

Yeah but after so many years without touching the game I got reckt in less than 3 mins as i can no longer time correctly the parry :"v

Agnus was literally scared of Nero and Credo was casually defeated by him
They should scale to Echidna, not Nero
Agnus and Credo are stronger than Echidna, but far weaker than EoG Nero.

Yeah, I agree with you, maybe I wasn't clear, I'm not saying that they should be Low 7-B scalling directly from Echidna, since she is a high end Low 7-B, it makes sense they be 7-B, however they don't scale to Nero, so some things in the profile should be fixed

It's about time DMC include a female lead protagonist tbh.

Yeah, Lucia is a thing but DMC2 was so bad most people didn't even play her disc despite freaking DMC2 being actually her story.

Silver/White hair girls are my fantasy, incoming the Dante/Vergil long lost sister~

Only if it isn't forced and/or out of nowhere.I believe Nero should have a couple more games with his own antagonist and story before we introduce or explore other characters although a Trish and Lady's side story is long overdue but I don't know how to fit that into another installment without it being a DLC or short spin-off.

Nero will never have his own game without Dante being shaft in the middle because Capcom lacks the balls to move on from Dante. They seriously exhausted every possible direction with Dante tho

It's really time to move on, DMC5 perfect what was already there but it didn't bring anything new tbh. A female lead for starts would be pretty refreshing

I %100 believe Nero can have his own standalone game.DMC5 already sets up new things mechanic wise and gameplay wise with Nero. The Devil Breakers in 5 being fragile is due to them being made on the spot so DMC6 would have sturdier and stronger Devil Breakers with multiple functions similiar to style switching but more open.Nero's entire biological make up and what that means for power and abilities is another avenue to explore.I doubt future install meants will feature Dante as an important role but I also doubt Dante's playstyle would be thrown away, capcom would probably make another character or use Sparda to substitute Dante's playstyle.

A female lead would bring little to nothing of interest or refreshing imo only the gameplay and assumingly unique style she would use is something interesting and refreshing.Either way, I doubt a female lead would have influence over wether or not Dante would be involved and a female lead isn't all that important or interesting except maybe for that and introducing them now would feel forced.

We already had a female lead in Devil May Cry 2. Why people are forgetting about Lucia? :( It was her story... story about accepting who you are and going foward... Dante was just there (well his personality wasnt even there).

@Meshifuari Arimato

ZERO mentioned Lucia but they said it was bad so I was speaking as if it didn't matter.Lucia is awesome and I would love to her moveset realized in a good game.

I'm confused you're saying Nero won't have his own game because they can't move on from Dante but you're also talking about a female lead working?
Yeah? People are way too obsessed with Dante and Capcom has been trying to move on from him since DMC4 and they just can't do it.

People have been asking for sprda game for ages, a lady spin offgame would also be cool? Like I said a female protagonist would also be pretty refreshing. You can only do so much with "Dante vs Vergil" conflict in every game and this story line was done in this game as well.

I want to expand the universe tbh.

I might be incorrect, since I really haven't been keeping count, but I'm pretty sure this is approaching the 500 post limit. Should we move on to another DMC discussion post now?

As of me, I would like a more in-depth look on the Demon World & how things work there. That can work in either novel or manga format.

Giving Sparda his own game would ruin him as he is now IMO, since that would remove his mystery trait, which frankly makes up roughly a half of his character.

And of course, as a Nero fan, I would definitely love to see his standalone game.

Btw, y'all go play Bayonetta, if you want a female lead and Lucia is not enough for you

Couldn't get into Bayonetta tbh. I dropped the game after 3 missions, the gameplay is pretty good but I just don't like the character. Everything she does comes off as cheap seducing it's almost distracting lol

I don't know how to descrip it, but everything cool Dante does comes off naturally while the camrea has to cut off from the gameplay just to foucs on Bayonetta's ass and tit everytime.

What with people and "Oh a game for Sparda would ruin" mentality? Lol Capcom already planned a spin off but freaking DmC ruined everything.

I honestly wouldn't mind a game based on Sparda. As long as they don't **** it up, though they haven't ****** up that badly if DMC 3's story is anything to go by.

I wouldn't want to see Sparda being explored too much it will ruin his character. I would like to see a game setting before Sparda's rebellion though.
