Devil May Cry Discussion Thread 10

Would be cool if in DMC 6, Mundus' son appears and battles Dante/Nero/Vergil, as some sort of antithesis to the Sparda gang and revenge plot

@LightinAnt

Dante: When you do come back, give my regards to my son will ya?

~~DMC6 appears~~

Mundus: And you give your regards to MINE.

There will be a Netfilx DMC show that will be a part of the Castlevania show, and might feature Sparda considering Castlevania takes place in the 15th century.

I don't know if this ruins the mystery or not but I would like Sparda as a non canon playable character in a DMC game.

There isn't any cutscenes with him, you just go for place to place, Spardas actually has his own moveset and mechanics like the other characters.

Basically like the Sparda costume but evolved into a full playable character

Wait Netflix DMC will be canon to Netflix Castlevania?

Yeah Adi Shankar confirmed that on twitter or an interview or something, can't remember where, that they would be in the same universe.

Damn that's awesome if true, Julius or Alucard fighting with Dante against Mundus or Dracula would be the coolest thing ever

According to Itsuno and Reuben, Itsuno wasn't informed on the Netflix anime thing and Adi Shankar spoke too soon before anything was discussed in depth which possibly upset Capcom executives so the anime never existed and might not happen at all

That's the first time I hear about this and I can't find anything about it. Where was this said?

Nothing has been said on this thread in nearly a week. Did something happen that I didn't hear about? XD

Some huge new CRT every few days to wank the characters more, of course fans has no time for general discussio
I don't know whether to agree 100%, or feel called out. :p

In all seriousness, surely there are some new, interesting developments in Devil May Cry to discuss. This is an enjoyable discussion thread! :D

Yeah. But there's only two chapters so far, and we didn't learn a whole lot that we didn't already know.

Hopefully we get more on V in his manga. There seems to be a lot of intresting gaps in his story that could be filled.

As for revisions, what about V's cane? It can pierce and damage things that are tiers above him in durability. Should we give it durability negation? Or should we change his AP to "'far h'igher with his cane"?

Is this thread reaching its post limit? I'm pretty sure there are only about 30 more posts that can be made. Might be time to "unseal" the 11th thread. XD

I'm honestly quite doubtful of this, but for V, would it be possible to calc the potential durability feat from when he falls underground after the Nidhogg boss fight? I must confess, I'm not sure how. But he clearly falls an absolutely massive distance (at least a few dozen feet, and probably higher), falls onto stone, and gets up a second later unaffected. Still not sure how it would be calced, but it definitely seems like a durability feat higher than an average human level.

It would surely be difficult, but if we can find out what V's height is then we can probably use him as a ruler at the beginning of Mission 5 to determine how far down the pit goes. From there, there are almost certainly calculations to determine how much force he was hit with as he came to a stop.

^Nico and Trish are around as tall as Dante is some scenes, I won't take the height of these characters seriously

Nero most oft he time look good 7-10cm shorter than Dante but other times he's head to head with him.

Well, there was a 1:1 scale statue of Nero on one of the CAPCOM events, and it was 190 cm tall. Considering V is quite a bit taller than him, he may be 2 m tall.

Dante himself is supposed to be 190cm and Nero is a good deal shorter than him and Vergil, yet he's 190cm as well. Nero being something like 180/5'11 is more believable tbh

Dante barely stand out when he stand next to any character
