This has been in the making for a long time. I'm revising abilities for the entire verse. And before anyone asks, Oryx is getting a CRT of his own.
Our pages aren’t entirely consistent concerning this. I’ll only add links to abilities that haven’t already been accepted or mentioned in the paracausal entities section.
- Abilities: Corruption, Reality Warping, Law Manipulation, Mathematics Manipulation, Information Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2), Existence Erasure, Void Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Mind Manipulation and Possession
Anything that spreads the Taken Blight gets these abilities and Resistance to them, except for mathematics manipulation, information manipulation, conceptual manipulation and space-time manipulation (that is because they have already been affected by these abilities and aren’t under active control of them). Guardians and some powerful beings that have a reason to resist the Taken Blight (such as being fine in an infested area) get Resistance to all aforementioned abilities, except corruption and space-time manipulation (that is because there are cases where they are affected by other instances of corruption and because the space-time manipulation doesn’t target them).
We don’t really have a standard so they’re inconsistent on our pages. The majority of these Resistances come from resisting Guardian abilities. If an ability is unlinked it’s because it’s already generally accepted or because it was linked earlier in this CRT.
- Resistances: Subjective Reality, Reality Warping, Law Manipulation, Existence Erasure, Matter Manipulation, Energy Manipulation, Quantum Manipulation, Explosion Manipulation, Temperature Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Light Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation, Magma Manipulation, Plasma Manipulation, Electricity Manipulation, Magnetism Manipulation, Paralysis Inducement, Pain Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Black Hole Creation, Statistics Reduction, Soul Manipulation, Life and Energy-Absorption, Corrosion Inducement, Physics Manipulation, Absolute Zero, Power Nullification, Status Effect Inducement, Sense Manipulation, Poison Manipulation, Transmutation, and Sound Manipulation
Only enemies that have some sort of backing for their immunity not being game mechanics count of course. Otherwise it’s the same thing as above and also includes all of the earlier mentioned Resistances.
- Resistances: Crystal Manipulation(?), Mathematics Manipulation, Smoke Manipulation, Nanotechnology, Disease Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation and Information Manipulation (because of ontological weapons like the Thorn), Resistance Negation, Curse Manipulation, Death Manipulation, Regeneration and Immortality Negation (Deathbringer shoots a Death song, also because of Red Death etc. Only if paracausal powers are involved!), Telekinesis (from Warlocks), Vibration Manipulation

Loses Type 5 Immortality if Taken in general don’t get it
- Riven: Bodily Weaponry (duh), Power Bestowal, Resurrection, Antimatter Manipulation, Limited Incorporeality/Abstract Existence (whatever existing as a disembodied consciousness after death is), Precognition (here Ahamkara predict the events of Forsaken), further Death Manipulation and Regeneration and Immortality Negation with Creeping Darkness and Gaze of Riven (Creeping Darkness instantly kills the target if it reaches enough stacks and the Gaze of Riven can irrevocably kill a raid team), Biological Manipulation? with Ascendant Atrophy, Homing Attack (Axion Darts), Possession 2, Dimensional Travel (travels between the Dreaming City and Ascendant Plane during the Last Wish raid), Enhanced Senses (seems to sense desire in a variety of ways), and Extrasensory Perception
Loses “existing in realms removed from conventional space and time within the Ascendant Plane and elsewhere in the Dreaming City”
Reflective surfaces can reveal the truth behind Ahamkara illusions
- Crota: Sense Manipulation
Loses Higher-Dimensional Existence (the scan doesn’t support powerful Ascendants being higher-dimensional themselves)
- Daughters of Oryx: Transmutation, Sense Manipulation, Poison Manipulation (Basic Wizard ability), Status Effect Inducement (Basic Wizard ability), Energy Manipulation, Magnetism Manipulation and Electricity Manipulation through their magic and Darkness Blasts
Lose Higher-Dimensional Existence (the scan doesn’t support powerful Ascendants being higher-dimensional themselves)
- Warpriest: Sense Manipulation, Death Manipulation, Immortality and Regeneration Negation (His Oculus can kill the entire raid team irrevocably, similarly to Crota. Also can devour the Light from others like all Hive)
- Nokris: Electricity Manipulation and Magnetism Manipulation with Darkness Blasts, Vibration Manipulation with Darkness Smash, and Extrasensory Perception
- Akka: Loses Higher-Dimensional Existence (the scan doesn’t support powerful Ascendants being higher-dimensional themselves), Type 6 Immortality (since he was Oryx’s patron god, not his worm) and Resistance to active Taking (not the the Taken Blight)
- Xol: Loses Higher-Dimensional Existence (the scan doesn’t support powerful Ascendants being higher-dimensional themselves), Type 6 Immortality and Resistance to active Taking (not the the Taken Blight)
- Hiraks: Enhanced Senses, Vibration Manipulation through Ultra Smash, Dimensional Travel
Loses Type 5 Immortality (Throne Worlds don’t grant this)
- Guardians: Blessed (duh), Accelerated Development (Guardians quickly grow far more capable, despite not even knowing what a gun is after their first resurrection), Purification 2 3 4 (the Guardian also regularly removes Taken corruption, but there aren’t specific scans for that), Instinctive Reaction, Analytical Prediction, Nanotechnology and Healing (Warlock armor), Physics Manipulation (Warlock armor), Enhances Senses, Extrasensory Perception 3, Resistance to Poison Manipulation (or whatever being unaffected by high concentrations of methane is), Hacking and Technology Manipulation (Exos), Sleep Manipulation
Also Limited Spatial Manipulation and FTL Travel Speed for Guardians with their jump ships
And Ghost abilities are moved to a Ghost tabber
- Ghosts: Get their own tabber, Levitation, Enhanced Senses (Detects specific forms of quarks), Extrasensory Perception 3, Limited Invulnerability, Body Control, Analytical Prediction, Incorporeality, Technology Manipulation, Teleportation via transmat (one of the main methods of transportation), most Resistances of their Guardian since they’re two halves of a whole
- Hive: Adaptation 2, Corruption (Hive corruption changes the physical properties of materials), Aura (Ascendants), Hacking (Wizards), Earth Manipulation, Illusion Creation, Telepathy 2, Death Manipulation and Sealing, Organic Manipulation, Resistance to Sealing (Powerful Sword Logic Users. The Worm Gods had been imprisoned by the Leviathan but with more Sword Logic power they were able to escape), Poison Manipulation, Soul Manipulation (not all Hive)
Information Manipulation (already accepted in my previous revision), Biological Manipulation 3, Mind Manipulation and Pain Manipulation and Resistance to Deathsongs for Deathsingers (since they can hear their own and each other’s songs without problem)
Knights and Wizards lose Mid Regeneration and instead just get Healing
- Taken: Immortality (Type 5), Radiation Manipulation, Sound Manipulation, Aura (Powerful Taken), Gravity Manipulation, Limited Black Hole Creation, Stasis Powers (Knights and Acolytes)
- Vex: Inorganic Physiology (maybe limited? The Vex’s “mind fluid”, radiolaria, is organic after all), Preparation, Precognition and Retrocognition 2, Information Analysis and Analytical Prediction, Enhanced Senses, Adaptation, Reactive Evolution (in larger groups), Quantum Manipulation, Energy Manipulation, Limited Time Travel, Data Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, Gravity Manipulation, Antimatter Manipulation (Not standard equipment for regular Vex units), Sealing 2 3 (Not standard equipment for regular Vex units), Corruption 2 3 4 5 6, Transmutation and Cyborgization 2 3, Mind Manipulation, Hacking, Technology Manipulation, Madness Manipulation (Type 3), Resistance to Physics Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation, Transmutation
- Stasis: Physics Manipulation, Temperature Manipulation, Crystal Manipulation, Explosion Manipulation, Summoning (Warlocks specifically)
- Paracausal Entities: Mathematics Manipulation, Quantum Manipulation (Light and Darkness), Clairvoyance/Pressure Points? (Sword Logic. Apparently finding the weakest part of a structure and destroying it is inherent to the Sword Logic), Resistance to Power Absorption and Power Modification (attempts at taking or mimicking paracausal powers generally fail. Ghaul is the only one to ever steal a paracausal power and this had a lot of caveats attached to it [I can explain in the thread for any who are unfamiliar with the verse]. To modify a paracausal entity’s abilities you’d have to alter the Light/Darkness/Sword Logic, since the abilities aren’t usually inherent to the entity in question), Acausality (Type 4) for Ascendants (Oryx became a paracausal being around the time he became Ascendant)
- Solar Light: Light Manipulation, Radiation Manipulation 3, Danmaku (Blade Barrage - can throw 20 blades with the right aspect), Homing Attack, Healing and Forcefield Creation (with solar 3.0 all solar subclasses can use all solar grenades, including homing and healing ones), Magma Manipulation (Warlocks only), Plasma Manipulation, Empathic Manipulation (Sunsingers only)
- Void Light: Energy Manipulation (isn’t listed everywhere), Homing Attack and Power Nullification (with void 3.0 all void subclasses can use all void grenades, including homing and suppressor ones), Summoning (Warlock - with Child of the Old Gods), Invisibility, Time Slow (probably only Warlocks), Corrosion Inducement (probably only Hunters), Resistance Negation (with Echo of Undermining)
- Arc Light: Quantum Manipulation (it’s already been accepted that the Light elements are the result of manipulating quantum fields), Weather Manipulation 3
